I would think it was his agent's job to gauge interest in who might sign him if he became available. Dallas is a nice fit as he is with ex teammates, a great owner, a great coach , and he doesn't have to pay state income tax.
Is something up with quoting posts?

I'm sure Phil let his agent put out feelers to all teams once they came to an agreement on the buyout. It's not like it takes a long time to call around and then pick the team you want to go to. Good spot for him.
go amare ... go get that ring with Tyson ... I am rooting for you .

I could totally get behind Dallas ow if Flu wasn't there. I can't think of many guys I loathe more. Probably because he s supposed to be a character guy and he was so far from that his last year plus as a Knick.

The Knicks do that to you. I really dont fault Tyson for wanting to remove himself from this garbage in NY.
So who'd Dallas cut to make room?

Exactly. It should be clear now to those who couldn't see it at the time how much he was contributing last year even if it was a down year.
If Dallas were smart, they'd store Amar'e in a wine bath until the play offs.

He has been aging great in Dallas but that doesn't make it any less clear that he was horrific in the playoffs and spent last year in the gms ear everyday trying to get te coach fired, missed a ton of games, played poorly, and could come nowhere near to being a guy that was paid almost the max to be a leader and the guy with the championship pedigree. It's a contract year for him and he was called out for his actions. He ha to have a god year.

Alot of that is the Knicks fault. You dont max out role players then get mad they dont perform to max. Say what you will but Tyson was 100% correct on Woodson...you're seeing it now with the Clippers.
Tyson was good here in NY. Speaking of the playoffs, i know another player who has been horrific in the playoffs, and he's still here.

Woodson is causing the Clippers problems? Not Lawerence Frank, Sam Cassell or one of the other 4 assistants? I have heard that Doc is struggling with being both gm and coach. I haven't heard anything about Woodson being a negative influence there.

give it a rest already. For whatever reason, T.Chandler was horrible for the Knicks. point blank
Now, he is playing in a system that caters more to his strength but that doesn't make him an all-star. I'm sure STAT will show flashes of his old self in that pick and roll offense that Dallas runs but it won't last. His body is broken.
Felton, Chandler, and Amare vs Shumpert and JR in the battle of who did the knicks help most. Moz came from Denver so I did not include him.
Well Felton now has the two players he's been able to get the most assists off of. I don't think either Felton or Amare will play that much down the stretch, but Amare could help them win a playoff game.

I thought he's shots were more at woodson than anything, with the wacky denfense, and the ISO ball
Its going to be weird watching all these recent ex-Knicks in the playoffs at once.

they can all joined other teams and have suceess simply because they are not utilize correctly as knicks. You can thank the coach and his dumb ass game plan
