Do you agree or disagree that he is our best chance to land a big name free agent this summer.
He isn't getting many shots with Kyrie and LBJ scoring 30 every night and he is sitting at crunch time. We need to bring him in so he can be our 1st or 2nd option every time down the floor.
If we decide to go all in this summer and not wait until next ....we could try to land Dragic and instantly have a very good playoff team.
Dragic
Timmy or ?
Melo
Love
Okafor or Towns
that is huge improvement

This is a big if, but if Shved can play at this level and improve on it then Dragic might not be needed. Use the money toward other needs.

that is a really really big IF .... maybe he could be our backup PG but don't think he can be a PG on a top playoff team.... would love to be wrong though
I think K Love is absolutely our best (and only) shot at a big name, but I don't want him at all. We only have $26mil to spend- K Love would get a $20mil contract, which would leave us with only 6mil to fill out the rest of the roster. Also, as I've said probably too many times, I'm not a fan of his.

I don't tink Riley can afford to let Dragic walk, especially after giving up 2 firsts. And to be honest, Tragic hasn't looked like a max player all season, nor has he looked great with the Heat.

I see what you are saying but think LOVE is finally our chance to get melo a legit superstar to play with.
unless we go Green and another B+ player.
Who would you like to see us sign?
I was a big Love fan and I'm down on him..Alarm bells went off when he didn't really step up on the Olympic team...He really didn't assert himself..Now you are really seeing it on the Cavs...No way I'll give Love 20 mil per...The money can be spent more wisely..I'll rather pass and wait...

don't you think it would be tough for him to be the 3rd wheel after being the man for his entire life?
here he can be the man on some nights and the 2nd in charge all other nights
i wouldn't want him... his defense is horrendous...

Also I think he's a bit injury prone and also- has he chubbed up this season or is the Cavs uniform unflattering?

Not another white guy who can's jump
On a serious note, he makes perfect sense if you have a big who's going to defend next to him, maybe give Chandler a second stint.
Bosh mention in an article after the trade, that Love's touches where going to drop dramatically and he was going to have to adjust to being a 3rd to 4th option. Love is a half court player, The style Cleveland is playing, especially since they got J and shump, is not exactly suited for him.
Bosh was a shell of himself (compared to his days with toronto) playing with Labron.
However, I suppose to be fair to K Love, Pau Gasol didn't look that great until he started playing for Phil and the triangle- he too was seen as an empty stats guy, if memory serves me right. Became more of an impact player with the Lakers.
no Love.. please no Love. All stats no impact. Thats all I see from him. I would rather take a short term flier on David Lee.

With Miami having NO STATE tax, the ability to give him a 5year contract with the age of Dragic, it seems very unlikely that Riley will allow to go to another team, especially with Wade's contract ending after next year and Whiteside being a UFA, as their trio could be Dragic/Bosh/Whiteside moving forward with other pieces as fill in addition to Luol Deng, Chalmers, Tyler, and finding younger replaceaments in the next 2 years

all stats no impact? no such thing ... and makes no sense.
I would pass on love ... too expensive and he certainly raised alarms this year.

I can't wait for the playoffs because it will tell the story...He will have to step up in the playoffs..I'm just not sure if it's just a case of him needing to be the man or have no impact at all...It is kind of alarming that his team in Minny never made the playoffs..Say what you want about Melo, he teams were always in the playoffs in Denver...

I rather have Pau's defense over Love. Plus Love is still more injury prone than Gasol, regardless of the system.
I would take Love on a discount, but not as a 20 mil guy.....Thanks to Cleveland, his value is much lower this time, which might be a good thing for us.
Don't we already have a jump shooting PF with slow lateral feet?
Unless we decide to play zone all season! Similar to how Duke covers OK4's weakness on defense. I will take any of the Plumlee brothers, including the one backing up OK4. We need a few active bodies down low.....At least 2.....The rest could be low post threats or shooters. Right now, we have none.

His teams in Minny were beyond awful. How did Melo do this year with this shytty team? Can't have a double standard.
He played like a superstar in Minny and if not for him they would be what they are today ...
Spend on K. Love or offer a contract to Millsap which would be a better move IMHO.
If LeBron and Kyre start clicking and don't win it all, do they even want Love back at 22.5 mil per in 2016???..
