I don't mind the calls for Harden but I do find it funny the quotes on why Harden gets calls and why Melo doesn't get as many calls. They say Harden does a good job initiating contact and that's why he gets calls. For Melo they say the reason why he doesn't get calls is because he initiate contact. I just find that funny. Melo can get his head band knocked off or his shoulder pulled(West) but no harm no foul.

melo plays bully ball so he is not going to get every call because his form of initiating contact is almost always a 50-50 call which results in a lot of whining about his never getting the superstar calls, especially in the playoffs.
meanwhile harden does not play bully ball, so the contact he draws is a result of players knocking into him because they are trying to recover after getting juked, usually with the good old hack across both arms.
and of course the fact the these pro players never seem to remember that harden is a leftie.
Melo also rarely head fakes since its just not cool. If he did, he would get fouled more and be less predictable.
