Gallo will go 2-10 again and won't remember that night...Getting Melo some decent help the next four years matters a little more...
You think he won't remember that night? Please. And god forbid we have to pick third to find someone to help our star who was picked third himself. Maybe even fifth! We might get some scrub like Dwayne Wade.

Unfortunately there are more Darkos in this draft than there are Melos and Wades...

"You think Melo was thinking about help when he was rolling Phil for a much money as he could?"
You see how that argument just kind of goes nowhere? Especially when the topic as about throwing games. Expecting your coach to throw a game is about as ridiculous as vilifying Phil and Fisher for getting money when you defend Melo for doing the same.

I hope so too, what are we 2-25 since he returned??

That's fair. That's why I can't get excited about it or table tennis.

Argument goes nowhere..I never said Melo was quoting the basketball gods...Melo is about his money as most player are...Phil and Fish isn't righteous for copping a few wins down the stretch...
But with all that said, whats even more alarming is that Fisher really wasn't tanking all season...
You should be more angry at:
- how terrible the Eastern Conference is
- the playoffs format that allows these terrible EC teams in
- the lottery
- that we don't have a pick next year...
Not that the coach and the team finally managed to do the ONE thing on their mission statement: win games!

And who said they were?
And that's more of a reflection of our awful roster than it is of Fisher's coaching ability. We all knew Fisher was a rookie coach but we did not the team was this bad.

Whats you point in all this??..They shouldn't tank??

A little dramatic with the point shaving and throwing games comments??..Clearly not the same thing..

Same as thinking the sky is falling because 2-3 wins over records of teams who have been tanking before Christmas remove any chance of us still getting a top 3.
What we don't get is what you would have had these guys do to get those extra loses that isn't essentially throwing these games?

And there's been more than enough whining about points 1,2 and 4.

Come on son, give me some credit. I'm NSA material.
Don't worry, after this game is over, think of all the time we'll have to slog it out in culture war threads!

The season has been over for the Knicks since f'ing December. Yes Ping pong balls are important more so than any win. Lose so you can have a better tomorrow. I don't want to remember these last three game much less the season which might screw the organization another 7-8 years going forward. Have you guys realized what past meaningless victories have given this organization. The Knicks missed out on opportunities to add players like Curry, Love, Westbrook, LeBron, Wade, Melo we have been missing the boat because of meaningless victories.
People are crying morality, it's your God given right to tank in the NBA. Those who do not take it suffer for it they don't get rewarded.

The sky isn't falling but for the love of all that is holy, can we as an organization execute one thing right...I mean, we trade Chandler and get back Calderon...JR and Shump have Cleve looking like Champs and we get nothing in return...We are fking up the tank with meaningless wins, I mean really??...

Those other teams are just tanking better mostly because they decided to tank way earlier than us.
We pivoted from looking at the playoffs to looking at the draft so I'd say the Knicks did the best/worst they could do tank-wise. They shut down Melo finally.
Now it's in the hands of the Basketball Gods -- or ping pong ball physics for us Basketball Atheists.
And my main point is the win wasn't meaningless to Galloway or Fisher, both who will be here next year, and both who we need to figure out how to do their job, which is to win games.
