I think Mudiay will slide....and Kaminsky will rise.

I think Mudiay rises as the fastest athletic true ballhandler in the top 6. This league is more and more about speed.

The top 5 is pretty much consensus...

1. OK4
2. Towns
3. Russell
4. Mudiay
5. Winslow

Reasons Why

1. Towns, fluid with room to improve, strength advantage
2. Okafor, Melo 2.0
3. Mudiay, unknown but trust nbadraft.net for accurate appraisals
4. Cauley-Stein, offensive game will expand with work, intelligence overlooked
5. Kaminsky, his footwork is polished, will adapt to the NBA with grace and good humor

The thing with WCS---Im sure you followed him a bit over the years. He never got better on offense with the exception of going from a poor FT shooter to a sub par shooter.
He really stood out to me in bigger games as a non factor on offense and then did not make up for it with rebounding. The way the NBA is now--you'll get exploited playing 5-4. If the plan for the Knicks is to get Monroe and WCS they be clogging their own lane.

I would select Stein only if we would get Winslow as well. I love what Stein can do at the other end of the court, but hi non-offensive game will not benefit the triangle. Granted, Rodman did pretty well in that system:)))); but I credit that to Jordan and Pippen's ability to play all around basketball, which Carmelo has yet to prove that he can do

No To Monroe

Who said the plan was to get Greg Monroe?

It is only speculation. Greg Monroe is not the answer to a championship puzzle.

Seems like pretty much everyone has some version of Towns, OK4, Russell, Mudiay, Winslow. I wonder if workouts will change that?

It's a solid top five though - I'd be happy with any of those players. Some would obviously help fill roster holes better than others.

1. Towns
2. OK4

I just want the Knicks to really work out everyone from the top 10-12 picks really well--no stones unturned.
