Those top two picks were dying to come here too..

Obviously not you..
Whinging Knicks fans you mean. I'm on the side of everyone clowning this franchise.
I am enjoying watching the long rockets
It really does. I'm not seeing a path out of mediocrity outside of us beating the odds and our pick turning into a superstar. I think a realistic, best case scenario for the next few seasons is what we just experienced with Melo's first few seasons here.

Was hoping is we got a top 2 pick then that may attract a big name FA..Think we are screwed for a while..

Haahha..What's your deal??.Allow me to whine in peace..
I'm disappointed. All my scenarios looked better on paper with KAT. That said, it's a new day and pick 4 is still a start. I'm thinking Justise Winslow. Maybe Moody will impress in workouts. Maybe Stein has another level he hasn't shown at Kentucky. Hell, maybe Hezonga hangs in Euroball for a year and we get $32 mill in free agents. $36 if you stretch Calderon.
that rookie scale contract will be more valuable next year when the cap rises and the rookie scale doesn't. Either way, winning those 2 out of 3 final games sure feels pretty stupid.

Haha... alright, alright. Last year I was the somber for not wanting to throw Phil a ticker tape parade for signing his contract. I'm tired of the pendulum of emotikns and the overreaction and joylessness of this fanbase and this franchise. I' a fan and this franchise is a joke. I mean I could go back and be a fan of the Globetrotters like I was when I was a shorty if I don't wanna deal with the fact that maybe my team is in its second decade of suck.
But carry on!

What pendulum?..Its been all downhill for a while and this confirms we are still on course..
Remember when the Knicks were back because Phil was coming home?

So why get this bummed out about envelopes?
DrAlphaeus wrote:Remember when the Knicks were back because Phil was coming home?
he brought hope to an abused fanbase because of his knick championship pedigree. that hope does not translate to an immediate turnaround. moreover i lost any hope when he signed a career underachiever to a 124 million dollar contract and threw in a no trade clause-- everything he said prior to that turned out to be rhetoric and posturing. jackson deserves the 4th pick (even though we could still win by acquiring winslow imo). jackson angered HIS basketball gods with that ridiculous contract.... hoist on his own petard.

I have no faith in Phil or Fish..If we got a big man in the draft, maybe a FA would look at us..I'll still root for Phil to get it right..He has been overmatch in every trade..How the hell does someone yes to Calderon at 7 mil..I remember looking at Calderon's salary on hoopshpye while he was on Dallas and I thought Cuban was insane..Next thing u know he is a Knick..
