Winslow played power forward for the national champs, but at 6-foot-6 he will be a two or three guard in the NBA. “I feel like I can do both. At times I feel like I can also be the primary ball handler. I just feel like that’s something about my game — the versatility that’s going to help me a lot at the next level, being able to play both wing positions, handle the ball, that’s something I need to do. Whether it’s two or three, I feel like I can have an impact at the NBA level,” Winslow said.

Somebody was playing around and looping it...too jumpy.
Has to be one of the Stein supporters or KU fans who are jealous.

I wish we could see a real video of his midrange shots.
I thought form/release was fine.
Still want to see him shoot some Js off the dribble though.
Briggs - you realize that is the same 4 or 5 shots being repeated over and over in a loop.
That said I know a media guy that was at the workout and in his words "Winslow missed SO MANY shots".
Nice info!
Interesting, since he looked decent from 3 in the one video.
Maybe he really does have trouble from midrange, and thats what your friend saw.

He is taking long twos in the first part for some reason, and he kept on hitting the same part of the rim untill he corrected his mistakes. His off the dribble shooting looked good though.

lol that dunk...
he'll be fine.. his athleticism shouldn't be a question...

Are you talking about lift on his J or on the dunk attempts?
Would not worry about the lift on his jumper. Curry seems to show that speed and form are as important how high you get up on your J. Thompson is a much more classic jump shooter.
Wonder what he showed from the FT line, and what they make players do from there in these workouts.
Seems like players are less efficient from midrange these days...shoot deep or drive.
If D. Green pulled up for a short J instead of going straight in only to be rejected he would be a better player. Even Lebron has shied away from the short pull up off the drive.
It's the same 3 or 4 shots over again. Even great shooters will miss 3 or 4 in a row from any given spot. Makes sense the Nuggets release that video, seeing how the 3 teams in front of them all have a use for a player like Winslow. They have zero incentive to release good material of him from their workout. If they like him, they are praying he will still be there at 7.

Are we talking about the video posted by Tpercy? He hit about 60% in that.

his release is okay but notice that he is leaning back on his way to the release which is a sign of shooting further than he is comfortable. it turns the shooting motion into more of a throwing motion. and the end result of that leaning back is he ends up inside the three-point line. he is going to have to work on developing range, as i imagine all collegians do.
what i think is no minor matter is the fact that he's a leftie, and that is a very cool attribute when it comes to spacing and floor balance.
i really like winslow.

If we're drafting him to be our SG, and he can't shoot, then he is what, a defensive role player?
We already have one SG with question marks, we don't need another.

Little bit of a "jackknife" motion when they were showing his feet while he was shooting right before the dunks, but I've see decent shooters do that before.
He had better success from the 3 than midrange last year, I think.
How different is the college 2 from the NBA?

How different is the college 2 from the NBA?
"The most obvious difference - one that you'll notice whenever a NCAA game is played in an NBA arena - is the shorter three-point shot at the collegiate level. An NBA "three" is taken from 23'9" (or 22" in the corners).
The NCAA three-point line is a constant 19'9".
A subtler difference is the width of the lane, or the "paint." The NBA lane is 16 feet wide. In college it's 12 feet."

I think he eventually ends up being a SF. Strong enough, with a long wingspan, and SF might be easier for him to deal with when he's on offense.
He turned 19 at the end of March- think he's the youngest guy out there. Might grow a bit, still.
Shot does need polish, but so did Lebron's, when he came up, and Winslow is young enough to still have been in HS, this year.
SupremeCommander@ 6/11/2015 8:51 AM
I don't think Winslow is a candidate to play SG at all... this kind of backs that up.

Think so too, but he's still a "babe in the hardwoods" so I'm not willing to say never.
Might be used as a defender at the 2 on occasion, though.
