Thunder got Qualls. Brilliant move in my opinion.
Stein reporting the nets have resigned Bropez and Thad.
Pacers said to be after Mnta Ells. Bird a big fan.
Middleton got 5 years 70 million from Bucks. 2 years from now that contract will look like a bargain.
Hoping the Knicks didn't get too cute with the Monroe contract VHS is supposed to be meeting next with the Lakers. I thought his deal might be confirmed like Aminu's.

For sure...
Having seen Biyumbo in person a few times play and just watching him off the ball its easy to understand why HOrnets cut bait and let him go.
The guy is bloody awful and has no sense of space or timing given and that he is employed in the National Basketball Association is baffling.
Former Nets exec Bobby Marks is awesome on twitter. He is breaking everything down and has a real insider's perspective. A worthwhile follow. Hope he becomes a part of the media.
Miami sign Dragic for... 5 years... $90mil- yikes!
Jarell Eddie is going to play for the Pacers summer league team.

I think that's a solid signing for them. He's very good.
The Knicks are in a bad spot here. Marginal players getting 10MM+ a year, it's going to be near impossible to build a contending team. Guys that haven't made all star teams getting 18MM per season?
We are lucky to get Monroe and a Danny Green and that gets us to a 7/8 seed with zero flexibility to add major talent going forward. Definitely a lockout looming.

How is there zero flexibility if the cap is going to be $89M next season and 108M the season after that? It sounds to me like we'll have $20M in cap flexibility each of the next two off-seasons after this one.
Yahoo Sources: The Nets have agreements now: Thad Young (4 years, $50M) and Brook Lopez (3 years, $60M). Both deals w/ player option.

Knicks just have to be smart. NBA isn't the only source of good role players. That's why i'm glad to see their serious interest in foreign players. In addition to the cap space they have now you can add the $2.7mil Room Exception to that. They could also free up another $4mil by stretching Jose if they find a better guard they want to sign.

He's 30 (which Melo gets blasted for), and it looks like the season before last was an unusually good year- didn't look nearly as good last season. People complain about Calderon, but how is Dragic going to look in 3 or 4 years at $20mil?

Like a bargain?

At this point I would be patient and focus my attention on picking off talent from team needing to shed salary. I suspect the Bulls will be looking to deal either Taj Gibson or Noah. I think Hawks may look to offload Muscala. Rockets may have to give up Papanikolaou, or some of their PFs. Celtics might need to shed some salary too. Need to pay attention to who is needing cap space to overpay FAs.
