Knicks · Knicks need to be realistic in FA. Don't waste time meeting LMA (page 4)

I'd kind of freak out of we signed Aldridge. It'd be an incredible talent upgrade over what we have now, though how it all fits together, who knows. I guess it almost doesn't matter when you score the best player available.

Aldridge is a different animal from Amare. Kind of a Dirk-like game. Pretty complete player.

Go get him, guys!

Let's just hope the Lakers bring in Kobe to talk to Monroe, too.

Disliked the bball part of the presentation? What was the non-bball part?

I'm guessing there was a marketing presentation. Teams like the Lakers and Knicks are dumb. They think players want to play for the Lakers or Knicks brand. Players are their own brands now. They want to win. Knicks and Lakers are still operating in the old world. They think the name on the front of the jersey matters more.... it doesn't anymore. Look at the Celtics, Knicks, Lakers... none of these places are free agent destinations anymore.

could not have said it better.

the knicks probably showed lots of mecca clips and short shorts

Phil made a point that his presentation wasn't going to be about that. He said it was going to be basketball oriented. If LMA doesn't choose the Knicks it won't be because they focused on non basketball things.

agreed it will be because he would be crazy to turn down a constant winner like san antonio

Knicks need to do something quickly. Lol. Man, is Phil even awake yet?

I'm sure Toronto offered him more than the Knicks would want to pay. Wow 4 year 60 miilion for Carroll. That's absolutely ridiculous.

I think that is why he signed right away without making anymore free agent visits. Not sure that he is worth it when he isn't in Atlanta. He is a really nice player but there was no way the Knicks could give him more than half their cap.

I feel like LMA and DeAndre are both super long shots at this point. Hope we don't miss out on Monroe pining for unavailable players.

Anyway. I guess we'll know more by tomorrow night.

Basically a courtesy.

any player that is dumb enough to pass up the spurs to come to this mess, I want no part of. One can't possibly be that dumb.

The Spurs also traded Splitter to completely make room for Aldridge. he's just being nice at this point. Spurs likely have already laid out the roster plans in front of him. Nice core as well. Aldridge-Kwahi-Green with the older guys in Duncan manu and TP.
