I'm sure Toronto offered him more than the Knicks would want to pay. Wow 4 year 60 miilion for Carroll. That's absolutely ridiculous.

No it isn't. Stop thinking in terms of this year's cap and think in terms of next years and the years beyond. Cap will be over $100m from 2017 on. This is the equivalent of an $8M per year deal with that cap.

The owners will lock out the players before that cap happens

The owners are getting rich, man. The TV deal is insane.

The skyis falling. Just read the Knicks are interested in Kendrick Perkins.

Nope- we did that in 2010 and ended up with Amar'e. Be patient- if we miss out on the big FAs, use your cap space to get picks and assets, or wait and see what bargains are left.

I was hoping Monroe would have had this reaction last night.

Hard times!

Exactly. Knicks got one chance to sell Monroe and didn't do a good enough job.

what if we signed jimmy to a 1 year + 1 deal allowing him to opt out and then sign a bigger max?

Jimmy Fredette?

I don't see this a benefit for Butler. This doesn't take injury into account.

Wade has almost as much impact as Lebron - provided he's healthy enough to be himself come playoff time. Heck, Lebron isn't quite the icon of health he once was either.

Wade + a serviceable center + the stable of low/min salary guys, sure.

Worried that the Knicks misread the market by not giving Shved the qualifying offer/extending him on his rookie contract.

I thought about this scenario and agree Wade would be an awesome addition even though he is on the last leg of his career. 3 year 50 mill.

I really don't see Wade leaving Miami.

I think he has had enough of sacrificing his check. Riley already low balling him.

It's a negotiation. He'll get a max from Riley. For how many years is the question.

When Kendrick Perkins is in the mix, a major depression starts to set in. He hasn't been relevant since before the Celtics traded him to the Thunder
