Another serious consideration for Robin Lopez: The Lakers.

Wonder what length they are talking about?

Like lopez but not for that money. That leaves us with 6 million. Afflalo and lopez being our top signings isnt too great
holfresh @ 7/2/2015 9:08 PM
Wow!!
fitzfarm @ 7/2/2015 9:08 PM
This won't happen unless Jordan says no
fitzfarm @ 7/2/2015 9:08 PM
Nice back up plan

thats too much money for him. I liked the afflalo deal but this would be a overpay
TPercy @ 7/2/2015 9:10 PM
That would leave us with about 7mm right? Can we get Amundson/Labeyrie,Shved,Cole, Galkdas/Gomez, and maybe Bejinca with that?
fitzfarm @ 7/2/2015 9:11 PM
Yea unless it's a two year deal ... I have a feeling that we don't offer Lopez a contract because Jordan comes to New York

Surprised if he comes here. Still think he ends up back with Clippers.

Sounds like the agent wants to run the price up between the Knicks and Lakers as well. Im sure the deal is atleast 3 years if 2 teams are involved. I wonder if Koufus at 6-7mm is a better play.
fitzfarm @ 7/2/2015 9:13 PM
I'm really hoping for biyombo he would be a way cheaper option with offering a very similar skill set.. I too believe this is his agent building up the price
CrushAlot @ 7/2/2015 9:14 PM
I don't think those are bad numbers when you look at what DeMarre was paid. It isn't like it is an uninsured deal for 100 mil or something.
nixluva @ 7/2/2015 9:15 PM
$12-13mil isn't too much in this market. There is a bit of a fight over him now since he's the last of the somewhat better bigs left. It would still leave enough money to add another FA or 2 and then they'll use the Room Exception and Vet Minimums for the end of the bench guys.

I like Kostas a lot. Not sure that he isn't a better option. But I have always liked Kostas and probably overrate him.
crzymdups @ 7/2/2015 9:18 PM
This would be a good signing. Worried the Lakers will jump in.
BRIGGS @ 7/2/2015 9:24 PM
No real difference per minute. If anything Koufus is a better rebounder.

Also Koufus has 3400 minutes less on his body.
