That is what I am worried about. Although I saw somewhere that Cuban said they would tank.

Didn't RoLo commit to us on the condition DJ was not coming here (i.e could have chosen LA and Lopez still committed to NY)?

We agreed to sign him on the assumption that we were out of the DJ race, not that he was out of a chance to play in Dallas. Remember the stuff about Lopez not being upset about being a 2nd or 3rd choice?

with dirk and deandre starting for mavs, that would be a great frontcourt even with dirk staying outside mostly.

Jordan need Paul and Blake to be effective. Most of his scoring comes from their efforts.

Who is the PG with the Mavs at this point?

Clippers are closer to a title with Jordan than the Mavs are with him, IMO.

PGs are dime a dozen dude...they'll figure it out

Jeez I never thought about that..... Dammit

If DJ goes back to the Clips, he has completely screwed over the Mavs- they can't even trade for hibbert now!
dwiley20 @ 7/8/2015 3:37 PM
This is Entartainment and Dallas should be very nervous, well everyone should

Exactly, this affects everybody, especially Silver.

Bad business...Rules need to be changed where players can sign immediately forget about the verbal agreements..SMH

jordan's agent will never get any love from owners after this.

doc will never get any love from any other gm's after this.

you guys wouldn't have gotten lopez b/c of this. he would've went to dallas instead. not to mention wes matthews signing there partly b/c of jordan.

Thank you Nostradamus.

Though that would allow Clippers to be in a position to contend and they both play in the same conference, shouldn't do this unless Clippers give up assets for Dallas to to consider
If there is a a TPE, Clippers would be able to use it with assets to try to acquire Noah as Bulls have enough depth without Noah and Gasol is more of a Center than PF

The NBA can't do nothing about it. It's been done before by C.Boozer and someone else did it but can't remember who it was.

It's only a verbal agreement. It's not binding.

I'm sure the league and his agents are not happy at all, but there's really nothing to be done, legally. He hasn't officially signed with Dallas yet.

So can we take back our offers from

Derick Williams
Affalo
Lopez

and

Kyle O Quin

I find it hard to believe if so...

Yes we can. Don't know about the O'Quinn deal cause it was a sign and trade but we can with all the others.

No way. Rolo and Phil have a zen connection going on.

I think that's probably true.

Man, I can't wait to see Cuban's reaction is this happens.

Playing on a team with Lin and Barrea as your only PG's would scare me too. Esepecially when Lin hasn't even confirmed yet. Dallas was already in tank mode, with or without DJ.

Alright someone call up Jordan and Cuban and tell them they can have Calderon just so they can keep their deal together......geesh the things we'll do for other teams/players. lol

Seconded!

The league moratorium has always been a bad situation. It used to be like two weeks. They need to do away with it. Teams are reaching non binding deals with players based on a non-final cap figure. The whole thing is absurd. That being said, I hope Jordan stays with the clips. That clips-Spurs series in the playoffs was fun to watch.
jrodmc @ 7/8/2015 4:42 PM
Maybe Phil zenphucques with RLo's head and Dolan's money and tries to sign Deandre to the max right after RLo signs his contract. Bwwwwoooohaaaahaaaaahaaaaaaa DJ wants those NYC mediacenter of the world endorsements...

Lopez moves to the 4 and that would be a really really nice front line, with a bench full of hungry yoots to support it.

meloshouldgo @ 7/8/2015 4:43 PM
Of DJ skips out it would be very unprofessional. But he had to do what is right for him. Would Dallas be interested in Melo?
jrodmc @ 7/8/2015 4:45 PM
Can you spell no trade clause?

Phil: Ummm, Melo, how would you like Dallas? No state taxes, nice climate, Dirk's a great teammate...
Melo: Ummm, how do you say "go eff yourself on a dull fork" in Zen?

TPercy @ 7/8/2015 5:04 PM
Mavericks starting point gaurd is about to be Raymond Felton. LOL.

Not good ones...not a guy like Paul.
