Knicks · Any truth to the Boozer to the Knicks rumors? (page 1)

CrushAlot @ 7/28/2015 6:53 PM
Scotto (Sheridan's site) mentioned the Knicks as one of the teams interested in Boozer according to league sources. He also said they were interested in Seraphin. However, Boozer to the Knicks is all over twitter and there is a 4-5 page long thread on it on realgm. I don't think there is anything to it but I am not sure as it is all over.

He looked like crap with the Lakers last season

Antiaircraft he liked like he's always did. He did lose some bounce but he's still a presence inside. He's strong, bangs and rebounds well. He could still start in this league and would be great off any teams bench. Knicks have alot of fwd right now but I still think we could use him

dk7th @ 7/28/2015 9:29 PM
he sucks and is a loser
meloshouldgo @ 7/28/2015 9:48 PM
N'Dour was so much better
smackeddog @ 7/29/2015 2:38 AM
He became hated by Bulls fans and Laker fans hate him too- he's gone from a giant salary to not even getting the minimum despite not having a major injury- not sure what the deal is with him, but it's enough to make me want to keep away from him

He lost a lot. His reaction time is slow. Right now, he would only be a locker room presence. Similar to what Herb was with us.

He is good presence for knick fans to direct anger towards even if the rumor has no grounds of reality.

I wouldn't hate the signing. He's still a big body who can score. I think he plays his best in a movement offense because he isn't always quick or tall enough to get his own shot. Boozer is good on PnR, cuts and has a reliable mid range shot if he is open. Boozer is also a good passer and can kick the ball back out to Melo or Caulderon who hopefully can find his stroke from 3pt this year. Boozer is also a good pocket passer and a physical rebounder who can grab boards. He isn't the most athletic, but he has good timing on his jump. Boozer on a 1 year deal isn't a bad pickup and would probably project as a starter playing 20 minutes.
Nalod @ 7/29/2015 11:02 AM
at 15mil a year he is a disaster. For vet min, he is good pickup. If he is into that of course. If not, he is a loser.
Im looking at my net worth vs. his. Maybe im a loser?
Knicks1969 @ 7/29/2015 11:33 AM
Phil better not offer Boozer a contract
knicks1248 @ 7/29/2015 11:55 AM
Boozer loser, please nooo, I know phil want's him because he's a vet, and can once in a blue hit that mid range shot.
MS @ 7/29/2015 12:27 PM
Everyone now and again he can put pressure on a defense. He's horrible defensively, but at 1.5MM there is limited options out there. I wouldn't mind Darrell Arthur.
EnySpree @ 7/29/2015 12:46 PM
Antiaircraft? I need to start spell checking before I post stuff
crzymdups @ 7/29/2015 12:48 PM
Supposedly Sheridan's site just runs with any rumor an agent feeds them and not many take them seriously.

Phil Jackson likes length and size from his big men... Boozer doesn't fit that and also went to Duke, a school Jackson has been bashing quite a bit.

SupremeCommander @ 7/29/2015 12:48 PM
I wouldn't freak out if this happened but I think Boozer is a hasbeen and would have preffered a guy like Ndour
Cartman718 @ 7/29/2015 12:56 PM
boozer to the knicks would be like re-signing amare.
mreinman @ 7/29/2015 12:58 PM
I guess he would be worth the min.

when I read the full Duke quote it really was not as scathing as the headline was. He said that "coachs at Duke get the kids fundamentally sound vs Carolina kids who are better athletes" the hype was more about being athletic and the translation to the NBA game. Not really slamming Duke as much as it seemed. He thought Elton Brand was not a franchise player at the no. 1 pick and maybe he thought Okafor was not as athletic into the NBA to dominate at that spot in the draft.

The knick notes when read kind of is not as scathing as the quotes by themselves.

That said, Boozer either way is not something I'll loose sleep over.

Herb Williams? Boozer mom is going to spank you for disrespecting her son like that. Calling someone Herb williams is a insult. He was due for retirement before he even became a knick.
