It appears that many of you are rooting against the Knicks to lose, just so you can quickly go around and criticise certain players. Carmelo has not been shooting the ball well, but he has been making positive plays. He is a scorer and approaches the game as such. For most of you to pounce on the dude as you have tonight is really unfair. He is the ONLY player on our roster that can put up 20+ points per night. If he doesn't take his shots, who do we have that can score the basket?

Why not point the finger at the coaching staff that only played D Williams just 10 minutes? Why not run a few plays for a player like Grant who appeared to have found his shooting touch? Yyyyyyyy?

I for one am rooting against the knicks to lose
I feel fans have a right to criticize the Coach if his bench management is suspect. Melo was on fire
in DC, aside from that - he has not shot well AT ALL. And we do have players this year who can shoot.
I do not know why the Coach LOVES Calderon so much. I would much rather have the energy and drive of Galloway or Grant out there instead of Calderon. He was banged up last year & useless and he is not playing very well yet. O'Quinn,
D. Williams & Pirzingis (sp?)are playing well and rebounding and hitting their shots. I just wish when it is
obvious that Melo is ice cold, they would pull him and let others try to score! GO KNICKS!

Calm down fish. Im not being critical. In fact I have been VERY happy with the team for the most part. I have praised the rookies, praised oquinn and galloway, and admitted I was wrong about the derrick Williams signing. However I get tired of the ultimate positive fans getting on other fans just because they may have a small criticism from time to time. Nothing wrong with being being both loyal and objective.

Anyone here criticizing fans for calling out poor performances, namely MELO, needs to get their fan card revoked.
He is not playing well. Period.
Normally if you don't play well, you sit, but not in his $124m case. I get it. He sells tickets, sells jerseys, sells LaLa to Maino etc. Truth is, in a basketball sense, he doesn't bring much to the table, except for the occasional efficient scoring outburst 1 out of 4 games...
Doesn't play D (see Kawhi Alley Oop, post and toast, and open 3 pointer), doesn't pass unless doubled or tripled (3.1 career assist average and 3.5 this season), doesn't provide any sort of real leadership. He's a true 1 dimensional suck hole. Just check out his average plusminus for the season(-2.7). If he's not scoring at a efficient rate...he ain't helping the team. PERIOD.

If you believe that after 5 years that perhaps Melo AND the team would be served by trading him to a team more prepared to contend while we change over to a new identity ourselves?
