Knicks · The Worm has Turned!!! Scream A Smith saying KP6 is very good (page 1)
NYKBocker@ 11/13/2015 10:19 AM
I guess its as close to eating crow as we are going to get. He is still bashing Big Chief Triangle but I guess he needs to make a point that his asinine diatribe after the draft had some merit.
They are even getting on Melo a little bit.
Funny part was when Skip talks and you can tell that he is trolling Screamin A. Even the eye candy noted Skip was trolling Smith.
Nalod@ 11/13/2015 10:48 AM
Its as good as he can do right now. He looking stupid still.
Bottom line, its good ESPN talking good about the knicks!!!
herkyJerky@ 11/13/2015 10:52 AM
I just hope he didn't end up putting any kind of Uncle Ruckus hex on KP by 'liking' him. And apparently he thinks maybe Phil should hold a gun to the heads of FAs to force them to come here. He tries to make it sound like it's easier than it actually is. That would explain the star studded roster in Charlotte, I suppose.
Nalod@ 11/13/2015 11:00 AM
SAS just making something up and getting people riled up about Phils money and wanting a starphuch to justify it.
Sac Kings are the New Knicks. Divac is pulling an Isiah and Karl gonna walk with 11.5mil for a years work.
clyderules@ 11/13/2015 11:08 AM
If Divac doesn't support Karl then Karl should run with his money!
mreinman@ 11/13/2015 11:09 AM
he just talks out of his azz and does not get checked.

"melo shot 12-25 and finished with 25 points." WRRRRRRRRRRRRRRONG
"Melo is shooting 34% on the season and 20% from 3 on the season" WWWWWTTTTTFFFF????

I'm not totally absolving Karl from this situation either though. He knew how much Divac likes Boogie. He shouldn't have taken the job if he knew there were going to be problems like this. And why the hell did Divac fire Malone in the first place when they started out last season looking pretty decent? Seriously, if someone knows something about that weird decision, let me know, because that didn't seem to make any sense either.
mreinman@ 11/13/2015 11:20 AM
SAS now learns how to pronounce his name? Skip really tiptoes around SAS-hole
ChuckBuck@ 11/13/2015 11:25 AM
Love Stephen A! He's strictly entertainment, no merit. The whole ranting and raving schtick is part of his "brand" like the players he jocks.
Part 2 of "A Disgrace of the Highest Order" staring Stephen A here:
Part 1 if you missed it:

To be fair to SAS, he never said KP was not going to be a good player. His beef has always and will always be with Phil. He said the Knicks can't wait 4 to 5 years to be a contender as Phil has projected. SAS is a fan just like many of us here; thus, he wants to see a winner in NY.

Pete D'Allesandro who was with Denver was the GM in SAC when he/they hired Karl. Owner is dumbass.
GM's want their guy in place.
Besides, they are empowering Boogie and you don't let him run all over the coach. He cussed out all three of his previous coach's. Karl has won 1100 NBA games. He understands a thing or two. Owner should call Dolan and ask him about what happens when you let a Rasputin type personality run the show. Divac might be a good guy, but he is enabling Cousins like Isiah did Marbury.
blkexec@ 11/13/2015 12:01 PM
I believe there's a hint of jealousy with SAS on Phil. SAS is thinking he could do more than Phil Jackson, if Dolan gave him 12 million.
I enjoyed that turn around from SAS. And I understand why he was upset with the pick. If Phil gets paid 12 mil, and give Melo 120 mil, then you would think Phil would turn the Knicks into the Celtics, with championship pieces in free agency. But even Phil or Melo didn't have enough pull to overcome the bad history and recent 17 win season.
BUT.....
Porzingis and company may be turning that perception around slowly. I believe the knicks are starting to become a valuable place to play now, for free agencies. You can finally see a bright future!

he can shoot free throws. Not "he shot free throws"
he is a VERY good FT shooter which is extremely valuable. That was the point.

Love it when Skip mentioned how to pronounce KP's name. Screamin A keeps butchering the name before.

That all may be true, but it still does not absolve Karl from taking a job that he KNOWS is going to come with instant high drama and frustration, knowing damn well how much Divac supposedly loves Boogie so much. I mean, isn't that selfish as well?

I don't think it's jealousy at all. I think it's simply NY sports media, especially ESPN NY, doing everything they can to help Dolan drive Knicks fans crazy. Just think about the 54 win season. As soon as it looked like the Knicks were for real and were going to make the playoffs etc., the FIRST thing these guys did was make sure we the fans understood that the Knicks were NOT going to win the championship that year. They couldn't let us have fun. They couldn't let us enjoy the moment. No, the very first thing they did was make sure we all understood that all of this was for nothing because we were not going to win the championship, because LeBron didn't come to the Knicks. That season alone exposed so many truths about our supposed unbiased NY sports media expert analysts. It's not jealousy. It's straight up agenda.

We have suffered long enough. The basketball gods need to have some pity for us

While that is true it is not entirely true. He always said that Phil should have picked a more NBA ready player. The fact is that KP is playing better than all the "NBA Ready" talent that SAS wanted. That means that SAS should actually be happy with Phil, but for some reason he is still angry with Phil.

Has Phil ever done an interview with SAS? I'm not trying to be sarcastic or anything, I'm sincerely asking this question. Because I wouldn't be surprised if some of that had something to do with SAS wanting an interview and Phil saying something along the lines of 'Stephen A who?'. But no, it's probably because he wanted Knicks fans to freak out and be miserable, and he was probably hoping KP would be a total bust right from the get-go. Some of you guys give these dudes way too much credit.

Agree on all points. If you have to decide between Cousins or Karl you have to pick Cousins. Also, Malone appeared to be doing a good job and Cousins liked him.
