I watched some of the game. He looked pretty good. Would much rather see Jimmer get a shot than Sasha (though I like Sasha's pressence on the team, just not on the floor)
Think Early was 4/8 from the 3.
Good to hear that Jimmer balled out and Early got some good work in. I'd love to see both in this rotation helping bring some scoring to the mix.
don't we have an open roster spot? Why not just sign him to a min deal - got to assume he would take it as this may be as good an opportunity as he will find to try to establish himself as belonging in the league.

I think they want him to get a good feel for the offense. Playing in some games seems like a good idea. My guess is Phil will sign him shortly.
Jimmer looks like curry lite in those highlights... He looks better then Jose they should swap teams
I think Knicks can give out ten day contracts starting in January. May want to have Jimmer get his feet wet and learn the Triangle in Westchester.
He certainly didn't run the Triangle tonight.
As Walt said in another thread, Jimmer did look a little selfish out there tonight. But surely effective.
You can't stop Jimmer.
You can only hope to contain Jimmer.

Not a little selfish, he looked like old school Melo out there. He wasn't trying to run any offense. He was the offense. That's his problem. He's got to prove he can run a team. He can score all he wants but he's got to do it within a team concept. Kid can do it all offensively though, not so much defensively. I want him to succeed.
Wow he has picked up a major glitch in his jumpshot. He jumps in the air BEFORE he gets to a set point, his form is broken--not the same jimmer from BYU. NO chance that Jimmer could make more than 1 of those drives in the NBA.
Look at how he shot the ball at BYU--good(normal) form vs what he has turned into today?

Everything you said is correct, but I am still intrigued by Jimmer. I will give him a break on running the triangle due to him not being on the team until recently. I am extremely interested to find out if he could be instant offense off the bench like DWill was in the beginning. Our team is good on D, we just can't score enough to win games unless we are hitting 3's. I also would love to call up Trice. He is like Grant with a shot.
We need instant offense. Since KP is a permanent starter then there's no need in having a passing pg off the bench with our second unit. We need gunners like Jimmer to make buckets. Gallo is a three point threat......Jimmer is a scorer.
Would be fun to see what Jimmer can do here as a scorer off the bench. He has mostly lost his confidence but playing for NY works for some players. (e.g. Lin)
If he can shoot at a decent clip in the NBADL and play something similar to defense

, he could fit a role as a needed scorer.
8 assists? Move over Travis Trice, wow...

I still think we should flip the backcourts... I know Grant hasnt really earned the start, but he's a much better fit with the starters. He needs shooters. He's surrounded more by slashers or post guys. However give Grant guys like Melo, KP and Galloway as shooters and I think he's a different looking player. Meanwhile Afflalo gets much of his offense from the same spots Melo does and Jose could help stabalize that 2nd unit.
There wouldnt be a #s crunch... AA still deserves 30ish mpg. He would be the 6th man but if you start Galloway and Grant AA could sub for any starter.
Just a thought... maybe they just need more time. I think Grant isnt being used properly and he's the only guy we have that can really break you down off the dribble.

I've wondered the same thing - Have Gallo a starter for those reasons. He will probably get more open shots as defenses will want to contain his passes more.
He is a much better passer than Calderon, than anyone on this team. At least as an experiment get him out with the starters (maybe sub out Calderon quick or the like.)

calderon knows or is closer to knowing the triangle. Bringing in a new PG who does not know the triangle at all is not really gonna work.

Agree with this line of thinking. I suggested it early in the season.
And I think Afflalo would actually help give the second unit's offense structure. And totally agree he scores from the same spots Melo does.
The fact that he's 20 years younger than Hose-A is an automatic upgrade. Probably shoots the same from 3 too.

Hose-A's only saving grace is 3 point shooting or jump shooting in general. Fredette can match or probably better it.
