Knicks · Game Thread: KNICKS @ KINGS The Rondo show (page 11)

mreinman @ 12/10/2015 11:47 PM
I don't like Afflalo and his passing is plain brutal but he is the only guy who runs his balls off every night.
crzymdups @ 12/10/2015 11:47 PM
Oh god Isiah is in the studio. We don't have a chance in this game.
clyderules @ 12/10/2015 11:48 PM
They play much better with KP at 5 and Melo at 4. Fish needs to demand that they go to KP more. Bench them if they don't do it.

That was sooooo frustrating to see! SMH

Barkley made a great point. The knicks don't run down the court, they jog! You can't play fast when you jog.

They were playing faster late with Melo bringing the ball up which is troubling(Calderon old). Barkley is right though but I think Webber pointed out that's it's easier to run when you play with a real of that runs.

Knicks look clueless on how to score, or get in da paint,no offense rythym, its just like they're just looking for anywhere descent enough to throw up a shot and cross their fingures

Closed the half strong with that lineup.

The coaches have to realize that RLO can only be used as a token starter (first 7 min max of each half) and the rest of the time he's an insurance for Porzingis at the 5 spot in the case on FT or injury.

Hope we see more of that in the 2nd half. We also need our guards to be FAR more aggressive in attacking the D and not just being Traffic Cones out there. Too much RoLo handling the ball and not enough of the guards calling for A screen and going with a 2 man.

We need to get more PNR with Grant and KP.

They started getting something going at the end of the half but still not always good execution. They better start featuring KP more.

Yeah...thought it was strange.

KP did not have a ton of space, but to wave him awau like that seemed odd.

Something weird is going on with the team and KP. You can see it on the flo

You mean run the triangle. Yes, we see it every play. This system would probably be good for pee wee basketball. That way all the parents are happy that their kids all touch the ball equaly. Or at the YMCA, so all the fat slow old guys don't feel left out. Why are we the only team in the NBA that runs this? Do we really want everyone touching and shooting the ball on offense?

crzymdups @ 12/10/2015 11:51 PM
They didn't run a single play for KP. Waved him off several times. Fisher left Lopez in and didn't try to exploit KP being guarded by Casspi. I don't know what offense the Knicks are attempting to run. Fisher is in over his head. I'd rather have Rambis running things.

its their fukking designed offense!

It is what I have been saying man there is 0 excuse for us to EVER rely our role players to score outside of the flow of the offense. 0 whatsoever.

I never saw longley, Cartwright, Perdue, Wellington?, and etc take those dumb hooks. You can include Rodman too, they new they were ball movers not scorers.

We need to get more PNR with Grant and KP.

Grant cannot play with KP right now as primary options. Way too many mistakes.

Grant right now is playing terrible.

clyderules @ 12/10/2015 11:52 PM
Fish needs to tell them that only KP or Melo get the ball unless wide open.

O'Quinn needs to play instead of Lopez.

The second unit needs to be allowed to run wild. Even use Early.

Come on Fish. Shake the team up.

Knicks1969 @ 12/10/2015 11:52 PM
Man we need a PG badly
Knicks1969 @ 12/10/2015 11:55 PM
Maybe we should consider trading to get Rose from Chi; or better yet, offer Rondo a boat load of money

So he can be told to feed RoLo in the post and run the Triangle. Now we know the real reason no one wants to come to NY.

Disagree! Grant can run a PnR in his sleep! Early in the season Gallo n Grant were playing less strict Triangle and more open ball. Don't know why they went away from that.

So more Vujacic thanks Fish.

I need a gif of Thomas, Vujacic, and Fisher as 3 men and a baby(KP). I just have a feeling those 3 have an apartment together.

It is because we are not playing him to what he is most comfortable with. He had a very fluid thing going with Porzingis dating back to summer league and I would bet anything that it would still work right now. Porzingis will get a lot of efficient shots in PNR and Grant can be in his comfort zone because that is where is he is most effective.
Malcolm @ 12/10/2015 11:58 PM
The thing about the Knicks Triangle at this stage is that ALL of the players (except Vujacic) are doing things that are NOT second-nature to them.

That's okay when it works . . . but when it stops working, they lose confidence and either freeze up or revert to what they're used to.

It's sort of ugly to watch, sure. But imagine what it must be like on the floor . . . if the players are not really convinced that the Triangle can EVER work.

How old is Carmelo -- 31 (?) He's been playing BASKETBALL for 20 years. He THINKS that's what the Knicks are still about now. But he's wrong. It's the TRIANGLE . . .
