Somewhat surprised that a case is trying to be made for him. A fading Calderon ashouldnt be the benchmark for a pg upgrade. Think Phil will be aiming higher to build a team around his particular vision .Jennings is short and slight, doesnt shoot all that well, doesnt finish all that well and may be an even worst defender than the swingate Calderon. Citing usage rates and TS% to support his Jennings is also misleading.. The heavily criticized Melo has very high usage and ts rates and Calderon has a high ts. If Phil wants KP and others to share the ball then a lower usage player may be a better fot rather than two high usage players. Durant and Westbrook are a special duo, Melo and Jennings wouldnt be

I want us to get a PG who looks for his shot more, but Jennings might call his own number too much. To answer Eny's question, one fix, which would help us short term without breaking the bank, is Andre Miller.
Some of you are ready to point out that he is prehistoric, and you would be right. But he still can run the point in limited minutes off the bench. Getting veteran PGs on the cheap who can give us a good year or two lets the team stay competitive while freeing up cap space for when Melo's contract comes off the books. I believe Grant could learn from Miller. I am concerned about any long term deal for a player now which would make building a contender more difficult when Melo is near the end of his time in NY.
Im guessing Jennings wont be cheap and will want a long term deal, seems like a risky proposition.

Galloway needs help. Getting Jennings would take some pressure of him. Jerian Grant needs some d league time. He's not ready.
It's a low risk high reward thing. The Knicks are deep so they can play that game if they wanted to.

I don't like what I see from Conley this year. He looks to be on the downside of his career (possibly). Saw him against OKC last weak and he was 0-7 and looked pretty awful. Saw him a few other times and something just looks off.

Miller was brought in specifically to Minnesota to be a veteran leader for their young guys along with KG and Tayshun Prince. I doubt they are looking to trade him. Minnesota has enough young talent - they're looking to build a culture now.

As long as Miller can produce and its a short deal, I don't care how old he is. Got to see Gordy Howe play for the Whalers vs the Rangers at MSG when he was in his early 50s, and Howe could still contribute. Ageist!

15 minutes a game isnt irrelevant. He is playing better off the bench than anyone we have right now, (unfortunately) and can probably be had cheap. Some school spirit you have there, wow.
