Thanks for that. It was a good article and his ball skills are ridiculous but i see his showing off with the ball a big reason why Phil might be skeptical of signing him. Phil doesn't want someone that's gonna play basketball like he's in a And-1 mix tape tour or something and i agree with that. Some of these kids need to leave that stuff behind when they're in the NBA but it's really blowing my mind that someone hasn't picked him up yet especially a team that's trying to sell tickets to home games. I also wonder why a team like Philly who are absolutely hoorible would let someone with his talents go though. Maybe it's that they don't think he's right after his injury or something. I would love for him to come here as long as Phil has a good little sit down with him to make sure he understands the way we play the game and if he can agree to give his best to playing NBA basketball then bring him on.
I think it is a good Idea. I mean you give Jimmer the ball and let him do what he wants and he won't average 15 and 5 in the league. He is a bigger stronger faster version of Jimmer and I'd rather make a mistake on him than Jimmer. Sad as I am to say that. Even if he sucks on defense he is a bigger version of suck than Jimmer.
Wroten is a slasher and would bring energy to our boring offense.

He might have helped tonight. Gasol just walked up the court on offense quite a bit. It seems like if you pushed the pace on him it might take him out of his game.
I'm very surprised that Phil hasn't made an attempt to improve our guard situation. Ish Smith was on waivers to start the season and then got traded and Phil didn't grab him either time. Why?

You do know there are 30 teams in the league? Phil did grab Jerian Grant via trade at the draft. He can't grab everyone. Besides Ish Smith has been around the league. Nobody was checking for him before this season

Phil is probably content with the guard rotation.
Calderon didn't look right last night. We need another G in case he is hurt. At his age, whatever is bothering him can lead to more serious injuries if he doesn't sit. Can't wait to see what Phil's plan is, he obviously has one.

I think this is just one of the things that we're gonna have to deal with from Phil is that he's not gonna bring in a player no matter how good that player is if he doesn't fit the system and the smaller PG's that are all about scoring and not playing the triangle way just don't fit. It's tough to know that there's probably some PG's out there that could bring something to this team that Phil could sign or even trade for but because they don't fit the type he's looking for he's not gonna bring them to this team.
Jerian doesn't fit the system either.And right now he's not good at the nonsystem.

Well I for one hope we take a shot with him! He is IMO still a kid with some upside. I am concerned about his ACL's but as long as he's coming on the cheap I'd still consider it worth the risk. He's got his flaws but also considerable talent in an area of need for this team. If I'm him I MOST SURELY would want to come to NY!
This is a great landing spot for any guard that isn't a true, pure PG. IMO If you're a big Combo Guard this is an offense you might want to play in. I know it seems like a hard system but to me it's also a system that can make things easier for a non pure PG. Especially if you can drive with ease without need of a pick! Just move the ball and learn to use the offense and what it gives you off Give n Go looks and cuts.

It's so curious what Phil could be up to. It's obvious by his inaction that he's waiting on something. I would assume it's a technical timeframe. Whatever it is I do expect that he will eventually make a move cuz it only makes sense given the needs and makeup of the roster at present. Whoever he actually settles on it would seem most likely that it would be a guard he brings in so we'll see what he decides, but it's starting to make me anxious. With every game that we have issues with our guard spot it just makes me want to see it addressed. The Celtics and Sixers games were hard to sit thru and watch us struggle to deal with their quick guards.

Well all of our guards on this team have something bad about their game so i think Fish could find some minutes for him when he gets adjusted to the system.
