to be fair we got away with a clear foul just before
To be fair? Come on man
even other posters pointed it out. God forbid i point out what happened. Its not like i want the knicks to get called for fouls
I think it was a makeup call. Molloy is a good ref. That's fair in NBA reffing. On the no call on Kawhi, which absolutely should've been a foul, we got a 3-point play layup by Galloway.
you just lost all credibility
How exactly?
i think it's been well documented by many knicks fans who actually watch games that malloy always makes bad calls against us.
im not somebody who whines about calls but i do watch/ go to every game. We didnt lose because of the refs. I am proud of the knicks though
hahn sounding like an absolute dumbshyt right now

right i thought we had a 20 second timeout left?
TIMEOUT COACH...THIS ISN'T THE LAKER CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM WITH KOBE AND SHAQ
So the Spurs can set their defense?
Yea best D in the league. It would've not ended well for us. Calderon got a good look albeit he was rushed but can't complain
broadwaystorm wrote:Are you really that jaded that you are happy after losing when we could have won this game at the end?
This guy doesn't cover the Knicks - impartial third party. Sounds like we should be happy. It's progress. We're building and this was progress. Knicks made a statement - they are a serious team. Let's see the Warriors win in San Antonio. Let's see anyone.

Did we have one left? Do we know this for sure?

well you obviously dont observe malloy enough

Yeah, because Pop would be beaten by the same trick play twice in a row. Good call.

yes that's why we got a KP dunk coz the spurs were really set in their defense...like rocks.
I wouldn't rely on spurs repeating their mistKe.
I'm not surprised but KP should be going to the line to win the game
broadwaystorm wrote:Stupid to give that to Melo. Even more stupid to have Calderon take the shot. Man I hate Calderon.
? Not a pretty play, but a good shooter got the last shot.
The real question for me is if we had a timeout left.
kojoonsuh wrote:fitzfarm wrote:Fish not calling the time out at the end? Why? We could have drawn something up
Exactly. You work your butt off to get back in the game and your coach fails to do the one damn thing he's paid to do -- give your team a chance to actually win the game by drawing up a play at end of the game. Fish is NOT Popovich.
That's so stupid. We had the momentum and had a clean shot to win it.
broadwaystorm wrote:Are you really that jaded that you are happy after losing when we could have won this game at the end?
Hell No....I'm extremely upset. Yes we or Fisher will learn from this. But that was terrible. Gallo should've went to the cup and got the foul....Instead he deferred to Melo, and put Melo in a tough spot.

either fisher has faith in this X's n O's out of a timeout or he doesn't....which one is it?
It is unfair how one sided calls are. Touch fouls against us, getting mauled gets overlooked on our team. I think it is BS you have to earn obvious calls, we don't even get home calls when at MSG. It is hard enough to win without calls being favored.
Onto the game, yes the Spurs are a great team, but all this constant penetration by Parker is unreal and that is why we lost. All the points in the paint, ugghh. Add to that the offensive rebounds, so our size didn't help on that.
Officiating is a joke in the NBA and needs to be fixed. Melo mauled, KP mauled and knocked to the ground on a few occasions. The Spurs just do a pick and either it is a slash to the basket for any easy 2 or auto foul. Sometimes on that move, it should have been an offensive moving pick and we didn't even touch anyone, but still the call. The best teams in the NBA do not need assistance other than to keep them on top of the league. Sickening.
Not that the Knicks played well, they made a lot of mistakes in this game, some due to SA defense, some just plan stupid. How hard is it to not switch when you are getting killed all day? How had is it to know how much time is on the shot clock? As well as Melo has played, he did miss a lot of shots to give the Spurs a lead and still holds the ball too long, especially down the stretch.
Knicks still won't get no credit, despite almost winning this game. Instead it will be the Spurs played terrible and overlooked us. Sad result.
Not sure if we had a TO, if we did, it should have been used to settle them down. And we only needed a 2, so the smart play would have been a drive to the hoop to score 2 or get fouled. I know he was open, but I doubt that was the called play if we even had one.
Knicks need more Speed at guard to help match up with teams. Jose is OK but totally outmatched every night.

kp is 7'3" he can draw a foul on that play easy peasy

No one's getting a foul call going to the bucket on the last play of a game. Never happens...

We looked a bit discombobulated out there around halfcourt. A timeout would have been a wise thing to do, IMO.

This^.
I am not a moral victory guy. Knicks need to take this loss for what it is and not pat themselves on the back
They need this intensity to win the next games
