right i thought we had a 20 second timeout left?
TIMEOUT COACH...THIS ISN'T THE LAKER CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM WITH KOBE AND SHAQ
So the Spurs can set their defense?
We looked a bit discombobulated out there around halfcourt. A timeout would have been a wise thing to do, IMO.
If they had one. They had already taken two or three in the last two minutes. I don't know if they had one.
Sounded like we did from listening to the post game interview.

He cant pass well, doesnt have much vision, and defensively lol. However his shooting has been much better lately so i cant knock him taking the last shot
All I can think of is "FluTyson". He HAD TO GO! Just like JR and Shump. same ol', same ol'.

the spacing was horrible, the shot was hot potato-ish and the shot was not in rhythm/rushed
Great game too bad it ended in a loss... In terms of consistency ... I want to see KP be this aggressive every night ... Kid is a game changer if he plays with this kinda energy he will propel us into the playoffs

Yup! He's simply not able to give us what we need on D or O! He's playing good backup level ball but we need a younger starting level PG!
somehow missed this during the game... probably too busy posting here... KP is hilarious.

KP carried himself like a franchise player this game the way he looked to dominate right out of the gate. Wasn't thrilled with how it ended, but more importantly the Knicks hung with the Spurs the entire game. Fisher made the right decisions to get them to that point late in the game. More progress, hope he can keep it up.
the only negative is lack of point guard. We need a guy who has good vision and passing ability. He doesnt even need to be that great
We talk about KP bulking up, but Grant needs to get in better shape if only to finish stronger. He does that, they will give him that jumper. As for his jumper, its almost all wrist. The bad thing about that is that his shot is almost all mental. If his confidence is down, his shot really suffers. Has to work on his mechanics.
Ed Malloy 2011 Knicks-Heat playoff game 1 IN Miami. NUFF said.
He didn't even try to disguise that he had money on the Heat with multiple absurd calls against the Knicks
We need a star player that can get to the rim, and draw a foul. It's that simple. But we don't have that right now. But we do have a tall 7'3 player, who only needs a second for a pick and a lob pass. It's either and 1 or a foul on the way up. KP is light in the ass and would look like he got killed on that lob pass.
Giving the ball to Melo at the half court line, on a panic pass by Galo like it was a hot potatoe was not the right play to run, when down by 1 point. Come on guys....We blew a great chance at winning this game....It's that simple. Yes, we have lots of holes on defense to fix. Yes, we knew that before the season started. That doesn't excuse the no time out call at the end of this game......over 85% of the coaches in this league would've called a timeout. Fisher was undecided!

I agree, I didn't like the spacing. But a timeout does not guarantee anything better than what we had.

Indeed. It's the kind of play that can pay big dividends down the line later in the season.

Knicks play like this against 98% of teams they win! This was even with major disadvantage at PG!!! If Phil can somehow upgrade the PG spot it would make a HUGE difference!
Win or lose - Melo built some trust with his teammates on that last play.
A few weeks ago a lot of guys here were crucifying Melo for taking a contested shot against Rondo and the Kings on last possession (one where he was also clearly fouled in the act, btw)

I can understand your point but it's one game and I'm sure a learning experience for the whole team. More than a time out we need an upgrade at PG! Someone who can take control of the team rather than give it to MELO all the time.

Yea best D in the league. It would've not ended well for us. Calderon got a good look albeit he was rushed but can't complain
Yeah and he hits that shot a lot. To get that shot against the spurs...you can't ask for a better chance in that situation I don't think.
Yea I really thought it was going in when I saw it was Calderon shooting a corner 3 but I can't honestly say you are getting a better look than an open corner 3 on the Spurs defense. Like I said if only Melo passed it to Jose sooner so he didn't have to rush it but Melo passing off on the last shot is a huge victory in itself

Difference tonight was Parker versus Jose. Parker penetrates and creates. Jose hesitates and shoots long
It's a glaring weakness along with having only Afflalo as a true SG! We need 2 more guards! A speedy breakdown PG and a SG that can also defend!
I'd be happy w even a defensive PG
