Some here want to give Jimmer and Rotten a chance, but not to the proven Lance who is one of NewYork's finest? We have a bunch of good guys on the roster now, We need a bad boy to spice things up

Wroten doesn't have a bad resume. I like the idea f bringing in Lance but I also see te value of Wroten. I am not sure that Jimmer is an nba player.

I want anyone not named Jose to run the point. I want for Phil to truly erase the mistake he made in his first season. He already got rid of fisher, and I am elated; now get rid of Jose

I don't think a team is taking Jose in a trade. I think the Knicks have a shot at Lance and could get Wroten but I don't think Jose loses his spot to either guy. His minutes might go down but unless Teague is acquired I think Jose is the starter.

I dread to think about Nose as our starter. If we can't trade him, Phil needs to buy him out

I could be wrong...but I'm a figuring that everyone on this forum knows this is how you feel about Calderon.

Sorry, but at what point does redundancy become a kind of lunacy?

Once my dream becomes a reality, I will stop talking about Jose::::)))). I have not been a fan of that dude since he was acquired.

Jose Is old now. 5 years ago Jose would be the perfect punt guard for us. His time has past. I noticed that in the World play during the summer. Sucks but it happens. No need to keep running him into the ground.

Some men dream of glory, Weatlh, Power, the perfect women, healthy children, a grand home, a new car, a new kind of Pop Tart....
Knicks1969 dreams of Jose being traded and for some reason the knicks will magically be better! Even NBA castoffs are better in his fantasy than Jose.

Lance is to be waived. he will be a free agent. Dream a little dream tonite.

I think that feeling is ingrained in all of us from watching him kick our butts with Indiana - hard to believe that's over-- but it looks like it is..

Just Lance dude. I don't care what any of you think about Lance, he is far better than Jose. Time to bring born-ready back to NY

I don't remember anyone saying he wasn't even though comparing the two isn't really fair since they're totally different players that play different positions.

crzymdups wrote:I know Lance is probably a bad idea, but I admit to being fascinated with the idea of him turning around his career here.

I feel like Phil's good teams often had a headcase like Rodman or Artest and Lance could fill that role.

Also, his best season was under Brian Shaw in the pseudo-Triangle Indiana ran. Hire Shaw as Rambis's assistant and have him work with Lance.

I think Lance could be great here. He's a defensive stopper at the 2/3, a very good playmaker, a bully ball wing. We need a type like that

But Phil won't be around enough to control Lance like he was with Artest and Rodman and if we put Shaw on the bench then you better be ready for him to take over as head coach cause that's what putting him on the bench would do once Phil realizes that Rambis isn't the guy for the job. I'd take on Lance to see what he could do with us but i'd have him on a tight leash.

they don't play the same position, so comparing them is kind of silly. what specifically makes lance better than jose?

Versatility....lance can play three positions on the floor and can defend. Jose! Don't get me started

You have yet to finish so yo0u don't need anyone to get you started.

Well he wants to be in New York so you'd have to think we'd get the best he has and i'd take a chance on him but would be very nervous.

When I look at his 4 years as a Pacer I'm amazed at how he was progressing as a player...seemingly on the verge of becoming a solid mainstay as SG on a very good Pacer team.

Did not follow what happened in Indianapolis, or whether he simply wanted more money, but its amazing how much his career has declined since he left the Pacers.

I could see a 3 way going down involving the Knicks. Phil has done business with both the Clips and Magic so there is history there.

Knicks could come away with Stephenson and Nappier adding some depth at both guard positions.

Didn't he turn down a big contract offer as well which everyone couldn't believe he turned down from the Pacers or am i thinking about someone else?? I'm pretty sure it was him but not sure.

Ahhh...you might be right. And then he had to accept less money from Charlotte for a shorter contract...probably expecting that he could build up his value.

I think Indy offered 5yr $40M and he felt he was being undercut and wound up signing with Charlotte for 3yr $27M - so slightly more per year, but less overall. His drop off was crazy. But apparently there were issues behind the scenes in Indy, as well.
