Knicks · Aflalo (page 1)

Aflalo is a good post up player, but he is forcing it too much. He needs to be told to post and repost. He always try to shoot over taller guards; at 6'4" he is always at a disadvantage at the SG position. Klay or Dray are taller and were able to make it super difficult for him to get off his shots. In my opinion, the coaching staff needs to design some curl plays to help this dude out; specifically, given that he is our second sorer.

I think Phil still has a tone of work to do as it relates to improving the roster. We need a PG and a SG, because what we have right now is not really as good as it needs to be. If your 6'4" SG is not a pure shooter or an athletic freak, you will have issues.

Is it easier to find a good SG or a PG? I still believe we can get by with Aflalo as the starting SG, but not while our PG spot is so terrible

I just think that too many thought he was a diff player than he actually is. He is pretty close to his career production..

He is not very effective because we are very poor at setting picks. He works so hard at his height to get his shot off it is sickening to watch

when was he ever that effective?

AA is what he is. He's OK... If he was great he wouldn't have been left alone on the market. It's frustrating but he's gonna go thru bad stretches. His lack of height and athletic explosion really limits what he can do. Teams can play taller guards against him and it seems to really effect AA.

In Denver he did not really get his numbers strictly while posting up. The problem is that he is not a catch and shoot type of guard, and doesn't really have the athleticism to get his points from driving the ball. So, we have to find that type of guard from somewhere. Terrence Ross or Derozan too would fit perfectly

Phil knew AA wasn't the perfect solution but he was better than nothing. I'm sure Phil is thinking of trying to find a more athletic SG as soon as he can.

I think we might need Batum more than Conley.
Knicks1969 @ 1/31/2016 10:49 PM
How about Lavine folks? He is young and can develop to be a demon of a guard. Not a perfect shooter, but is better than AA. He is the player I wanted THJ to be for us.

Imagine a young roster of Lavine, Williams, and KP in NY?

I don't know if they would trade LaVine but Kevin Martin might be available. If healthy he would be a nice addition in my opinion.

I love Martin, but he is no longer young. I need a young SG to groom along with KP. Lavine is a NY type of baller. He needs to get out of Minnesota so his game can blossom. He will never get the exposure with Towns and Wiggins stealing the spotlight::)).

He is the worst black hole I ever seen.
Dude just never pass and never moved the ball.
He is a cartoon created by Melo hater...

I don't remember him being that type of player, he is reminding me too much of Amare right now. That is not appealing

He just killed us tonight. I was actually praying for Sasha to come in.
