Check back often chuck. maybe you'll develop a sense of sarcastic humor somewhere in the recesses of your melohate.

What if we trade him for two first round picks though? Would that still count?
nyk4ever @ 4/7/2016 10:18 AM
as of 10:13am, April 7 2016 it's still there

I think Melo at some point this offseason if no big moves are made and Rambis is coach, will himself decide he wants out. He's alluded to it a few times. He's still hoping that some star point guard like Rondo or Conley comes to town, and when that doesn't happen I see him seriously consider bouncing.

You know I felt this way too but now I think that his belief in and relationship with KP will make him stay, along with the fact that he loves NY. I think KP changes everything and Melo is just chiming in to put some pressure on Phil, but in the end he knows he really wants to stay.

Besides I think it's highly likely that Phil will bring in a couple of second tier FA's that can make a difference. Not automatic contender difference but an improvement none the less.

Hey, it's been one whole day, and it's still there!

And now Mr. I can't wait to leave to go win a chip somewhere else after spending an entire summer of my life not going to some other team that were all in better shape then than they are now, is mentoring another youngster, who also is practically creaming his own pants in every interview about being here with this loser sheehit franchise!

it seems like you are trying to bait people to bash melo.

if he thinks Rondo is the answer, I'd have to question the wisdom of that.
Rondo says Triangle not this thing. Then he changed his mind. I can guess his agent reminded him that he makes more money if there is an active market for his services. Where there isn't, last year happens.
Then Rondo changes his tune. Its topical when they played the Kings. Like in Chicago when they wonder what life would have been like if Melo choose to go there.

Easy to pull the starphuch names out but the real genious is to make over an obtainable name received for a good price. Wroten is in the wings. Its not easy. Jimmer didn't make the grade. Early is being groomed as a 2, that might still pan out. Year 3 is his judgement. He got work to do.

Yoots in the wings: Grant, Early and Wroten. Exciting? Nope. Are we angry? Yep. What can sooth that anger? A starphuch. Nothing wrong with that as long as it has substance. Rondo I don't see as being that guy.

Is the NTC still there? Perhaps muckduck stole it?

The media spins it to make it seem that way. He gets asked questions and keeps his answers short so its translated as he wants to leave. When he elaborates, it's more along the lines of saying he committed to NY but never say never. Can't predict the future. Those types of things. I don't have a problem with it because he seems honest. He has had a very good season, has proven his health is not a major factor moving forward (any more than any other player) and has embraced a leadership role by slightly changing his game and working really hard to mentor KP. He understands KP is the future and has done nothing to show any discontent with that. His age does not line up with KP as far as building a team, but neither does K Leonard with Duncan. Not comparing the 2 sets of players, just saying there are ways to build without age being a factor. If Melo wants to leave, then we will trade him and get back some pieces. But we won't get back equal value for him, so it should not be a priority to push him out. Whatever happens, happens.

Not sure but there is a weird symbol by his name on trade checker and something referencing 2019. Maybe someone can figure this out. I figure he is getting traded based on all of the trade melo threads.

Oh, I'm pretty sure we'd have news from some on here if there were any factual possible waiver indications:

Nalod spot on with the Rondo negativity. This article lays it out pretty clearly:

I knew Rondo couldn't shoot, but I didn't know he made Rubio look like Pistol Pete.

edit - oh yeah, the NTC is still there.
