Love-for-Melo works; makes a lot of sense. We could flip Love to BOS for the moon and fast-track our path to long-term sustainable winning.

Oh hey, Melo has a no trade clause.
Well, except for that it works :)

Looks like Love is expecting a change of scenery...
From Woj:

Now, Love is 27 years old and in the first year of a five-year, $110 million contract extension. When Love agreed to the deal over the summer, some close to him insisted: He had little, if any, expectation that he would complete that contract in Cleveland. When it was time to find the next scapegoat, post-David Blatt, Love had been conditioned to believe it would be him.
Yeah, I do think Bron chooses scapegoats.
But I think roster construction-wise, it'd make sense for Cleveland to trade Love for a better SG or a swiss army knife type forward to play next to Bron - sort of like Jefferson did last night. Though you can't count on RJ to do that for a full season, I bet they'll start him the rest of the Finals.
Never thought Love should have been traded to the Cavs in the first place. Said from the start that they should have moved Irving to the 2, LeBron as PG, and Wiggins at SF. That team would have been scary. LeBron could have mentored his successor. I get the feeling it was as much about not having a younger version of himself on the team doing the things he used to do as it was about getting an all star to play alongside of him. Just guessing here.
I agree that Boston would be a good fit. Have a feeling that Brad Stevens and Love would have a good working relationship..
We got all the answers in hindsight!!!
To me, Love should play center, Lebron as PF. JR at the Wing. Thompson off the bench. A lot of money for him to come off the bench.
Yes, Love will get traded.
No, I doubt Melo wants to live in Cleveland. Reunited with Shump and JR, shytty Phuching Cleveland city and all the BS might not be a good situation.
"Doesn't Melo want to win"? Its not that black and white with these guys. Maybe a tainted chip riding lebrons Arse is not as valuable as one things.

Not hindsight if you say that giving up Wiggins was a mistake before the trade was completed.

Yeah, I remember a bunch of us here thought that was a bad trade.
Though I think a good knockdown shooter like Buddy Hield would be a better fit than Wiggins.
Cleveland looks unbeatable when JR is on. But we all know how rare that is when JR feels the pressure. If they get a knockdown shooter at SG they'll be tough to beat.

Wouldnt give up a player who would end up being the ROY, and a player who should be one of the better defenders in the league in a year or two. Having two slashers in Irving and Wiggins would have made LeBron's job easier with his skills as a distributor.

It's all good. That sentence still works anyway. Especially for the next 3 years.
Mozgov no show in finals.
I was sad to see him gone, I am ok now.
Cleveland marched through the east like nothing so lets not talk like they're a crap roster. GS is just at another level of talent and chemistry.
I'm sure LeBron would love to have Melo there - doubt Melo wants to, but who knows.
I do not want Kevin Love - happy to send him elsewhere and pick up youth/draft picks/cap room.

Would love to get picks in a threeway trade! That would be a dream scenario for all teams involved.

And Game 5 didn't really add anything new...

I still say Love gets traded. UNLESS Lebron leaves as Woj has predicted.
Then all bets are off.
I wonder how free agency reacts to these Finals. I feel like teams always react to the Finals in free agency. Will we see an emphasis on D? To me that means no question Conley gets a max. Hope it's from the Knicks.
