Yeah, just clips after Briggs talked about him weeks ago, but he looks intriguing. Tall and long SF (who might be able to play some 2), he can shoot and he also has a knack for blocking shots.

Pissed about that a little. I think you take a chance on him--the defense/athleticism combination in already NBA ready and the handle/PG play/shooting can get a whole lot better but already isn't bad. Not many PGs can turn the corner with his speed and then look to throw the hammer down on guys the way this kid can.
Looks like Cat Barber will be playing for the Pel's this summer:
http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerp...What a completely empty draft for us. I know we didn't have a pick but we easily could've bought one late and chose not to. Then we could've inked up Payton II or Cat Barber for SL and failed to do that.. All I wanted was a little depth behind Rose with one of these PG prospects. What's the plan to fortify behind Rose, Phil?? Yogi Ferrell maybe? Can't wait to goggle his name now and see someone already grabbed him for SL too..
I'm officially pissed off now. Missed opportunities here..Have a good night fellas. Check back in with y'all tomorrow.

This writer feels Ferrell would be a good fit with the Knicks as a backup PG:
http://www.crimsonquarry.com/2016/6/23/1...I had guys ahead of Ferrell but as it stands now, I gotta agree.
Bryn Forbes is intriguing too, on that lethal jumper alone. Can he handle/pass it well enough to man some point in the NBA? Man, he can sure shoot it though..
Jarrod uthoff is a BALLER
Bayless is better than all of them.....I think Phil rather pay for a back up vet behind rose, than a UDFA rookie, who probably won't make the team.

I'm with you on Bayless but as Ned has pointed out, he does get hurt often. And so does Rose. Can never have enough depth at any one position. I mean look at 1B with the NY Yankees -- Greg Bird hurt, Teixeira hurt, Dustin Ackley hurt, call up Parmelee--hurt..Crazy example but you get where I'm going. Perfect world, I want Bayless as a cost-effective vet lead guard behind Rose, then I really wanted a PG late in this draft for additional depth. I thought the slew of good PGs that went late was one of this draft's big strengths...Hard to swallow that Cat Barber and Gary Payton II were there for the taking and we didn't act on it. Also hard to swallow Berman writing that Phil intended on buying a 2nd round pick but passed when the price was over $2mm. WHAT?!? Come on, man. I don't wanna hear that shit. Oh but it's OK for the GS Warriors to buy the 38th pick for $2.4mm though, right? Then the Cavs paid the same amount of money for the 54th pick. What the hell am I missing?? We're one of the worst teams in the league and those are the two best teams. Way to keep up with the arms race, Phil.
Unless Phil wanted to buy in but didn't get the go ahead from Dolan. If that's the case, then FUCK YOU Dolan! Not sure if that's what happened though. Then why not get ultra aggressive after the draft concluded with these UDFAs? Ron Baker? OK, is that it? Can't believe we passed on Barber and Payton. That's not on Dolan; that's on Phil. If Phil intended on buying into this draft like Berman says, who did he want?
I've said this before - we simply should be aggressive with getting guys in- I mean, if we have to offer a guaranteed deal to get guys into camp, why the heck not?
All I can think is we didn't see many gems out there?
There will be a lot of fallout. We're complaining about not getting barber and ferrell but isn't the point that by standing pat, Phil still had the chance to get them as udfa? There's some reason they didn't like him. Teams like Phoenix, Denver and celts are going to have problems now. Too many new players, not enough spots or minutes.
Sure it would have been fun to see some new faces but let's calibrate expectations.
