According to draftexpress his wingspan is just 6'9. Smaller than alligator arms Olynck.

This kid is gonna be PERFECT for the uptempo style we want to play. He's super athletic, big, can PnR and Rim Rock. I think he's an underrated big man.

Baker...our Thor look alike, is about 7 inches shorter with a longer wingspan.

How is he "Under rated"? He wasn't drafted. He was rated. Now, in the mold of Hanbrough, a tough guy that can't shoot well but scrappy defender can make a career of it. Plums don't go away so fast. Whole family got to NBA. no stars but gotta think of the value that 3 brothers got! Duke Education with room and board worth about $500-600,000 for all three together!!! Now, if they marry proper tall women with basketball genes and height and have a few kids themselves they could set Duke up for years with fresh little Plumees!!!

Turns 24 in a very short time.
Good bloodlines, though.

Strange...the guy shot only 57% from the FT line last year, but his workout video shows him hitting 4 corner 3s in a row and, I'm telling you, he has fine form on his jumper.
I understand that they cherry-pick shots in the kind of workout video shown above, but his basic mechanics are pretty good, IMO.

Marshall is not Hansbrough! He's a Center for one thing and as such he's not a tweener. He'll have a very clear role in the NBA. Marshall is more skilled than you might think.
I most certainly do think he's underrated but not in a bad way. He's a late bloomer in terms of his growing into his frame and perfecting his skills. He's extremely agile and quick footed for a 7'er. Sometimes guys are somewhat held back in college and I think his game will translate very well to the NBA. You'll see if you don't know about him that's OK, but I like this kid and clearly so does Phil and JH. They have no reason to just add a guy that's not in line with what they want to do.
We want to run and execute PnR and this is the kind of 7'er that can keep up with that kind of uptempo style. JH knows the kind of bigs he needs and i'm sure he had some input in this signing. Hornacek had his brother Miles in PHX and i'm sure he's thinking of the same kind of things from Marshall.

This guy confuses me. I don't watch much NCAA so I don't have much of a grasp on the type of player he is. People say he can't shoot but in every workout video his shots looks good. I understand everyone shoots better in workouts but the way he was shooting means you have to at least some ability to shoot it well. He was hitting NBA 3's like it was nothing. Did he stay in his role in college and not attempt any shots out of the paint or did he try and just missed a lot?
