Hmmm. In support of your view, according to 82games.com, KP's defense against centers was terrible. I don't think it's based on a lot of minutes but it's still a concern.

Yes. Big men are getting taller and more athletic. Big men are coming through the pipeline who can play half court or transition ball with ease. Having a mobile 7fter next to KP would be pretty scary IMO.

Hmmm. In support of your view, according to 82games.com, KP's defense against centers was terrible. I don't think it's based on a lot of minutes but it's still a concern.
Not sure where Phil is going to put KP, on D anyway. I guess we will see what trading Lopez does for our front line defense.

Phil is not going to abandon team balance. Even if we play small a lot, there will always be roster flexibility to play a more traditional C as well. He's got some C's on the Summer League team and actually gave Plumlee a guaranteed deal. So he's not gonna have a big hole at C. I don't think the Knicks really want Moz as much as his Agent wants them to. I think the story is an Agent ploy to try and pump up his players value. JH wants bigs that are quick and mobile and hopefully have more all around skills. I don't believe Moz would start for the Knicks. He'd drag down the speed of the starting lineup IMO.
You are eithering tailoring the team to get faster with Rose and be able to play small ball or not. Mosgov has size and some O talent and would have fitted Jax's intial blueprint to be a methodical team that executes well in sets. With Hornachek and Rose he appears not to be adapting or simply flailing away. Noah and Mosgov both play center but they should not in the same convo if there is a clear vision by org or fans

Phil has never been trying to build a "methodical team". Sure he wants a team that can execute in the half court, but not exclusively. Phil has been trying to increase the athletic ability and speed on the team all along. Some Power and Speed as well. Grant, Galloway, Early, DWill, KP are not slow half court players. Even if you watched how fast an older guy like Sasha played you could see that. Sasha was one of the top 20 fastest players in the NBA last year.

Phil is about maximum flexibility. He wants a team that can play fast but also execute in the half court. He has not changed. The only thing he's changed on is accepting the use of more 3pt and PnR in the offense.
Good Lord. Anybody who bothered watching the Knicks last year knows they werent a fast or uptempo team. Dead last in league in fastbreak points. Knicks a diversified 32-50 ? Perhaps at being average to mediocre in most areas. One of their positive was Lopez and KP protecting the rim, that will need to be replace. Noah is a much better choice for running with Rose and also defending than Mosgov
