I mean it all has to go PERFECT with this group to get past LeBron and then what team are we beating out West? Nor are we really developing any young player besides KP as of right now. And there's no bench at all and little money left over to fill it out -- we have Justin Holiday who I actually like; Kyle O'Quinn who I don't. That's it..And now we're hearing Willy's agent is entertaining other Euro. offers which tells me he's trying to squeeze us, so there's a chance this dude's playing hardball and may not even come now...Tough for me to really get the juices flowing with this team as constructed. Sorry, I'm not a doom and gloom guy by any stretch. I eat, sleep and breathe this team, man.. Just being objective. Just feel sans KP, there's no foundation in place for the future and now with Noah/Lee, it'll be 4 years before we can turn the page if this doesn't work. Again, I'm not looking to be a douche fellas believe me--I know some of you are excited. Just don't know if I'm feeling this plan, you know?So with Lee set to make approx. $12.5mm next year, how much cap do we have left exactly? And who else do we target -- Willy obviously, who else?
Sorry, I get Philly tanking and having an all top 4 front line.
I get Minny trading Love for Wiggins.
I don't get signing Rivers for potentially 8-plus million to "develop" him in hopes of a breakout.
I get that some fans more enjoy dreaming about the dynasty team they'll have in 5-6 years. I do. I'm not being sarcastic. i can appreciate the appeal of the premise.
It just is not the profile of the team we all root for. Never has been, and very very likely, will never be.
The didn't have a pick in 2016 and had no means to get a significant one.
You're just not going to free agent Austin Rivers yourself into a future cornerstone partner to KP.
Lee seems like the perfect blue collar hard d and 3 player
Noah
KP
Melo
Lee
Rose
That's a nasty starting 5 now can we get some good vet min contracts like Lee & Jamal, stat?
Love the starting five on paper

It's even better on my 2013 NBA PS3.....
Courtney Lee has played in at least 77 games (94% of the season) in 7 of his 8 seasons in the NBA

I don't know if it will be Rivers but we absolutely need a legit backup point guard and it should be at the top of our list now that we signed C.Lee. There's some pretty good guys that would be really good backups out there and a couple i like are......
A.Rivers
M.Chalmers
S.Curry
J.Crawford
K.Martin
R.Sessions
G.Vasquez
K. Martin doesnt play PG....Vasquez, Chalmers would be great

Watching Reggie Williams play in the replay of the OKC/Dal game. Not a point, but can facilitate a little and shoot the three. Would be a nice low cost option for us.

Rivers is resigning with the clippers. Why are so many people on a hair trigger to slam every move Jackson makes?

You can't be a superior evaluator of NBA talent and strategist without an inferior.

Can't Justin Holiday do that already?

Can he? Not being facetious, just that he's kinda unproven. Reggie has done it for at least one season. And we couldnt we have both on the tream?
Great signing by Phil. I've been a big fan of signing him. Love the starting lineup. Hope we can get creative with a backup PG.

Fair point. And the truth is that I don't know enough about either player to properly critique them; I've been relying on what other people have had to say about them.
Lee shot 38% from three last year and 38% for his career.
Good move.
He's playoff tested, a good sniper, nice defender, has acceptable size, and usually stays on the court.
Supposed to be a high character guy too.
I wouldn't call him the sexy choice, but he's probably the best one.
How much money do we have left? I would love a lights out 3 pt shooter like Seth Curry!
