As a backup point guard he absolutely does not suck
I'm not a fan of his...but he's had time to get healthy and we actually have the kind of team now where we can take a guy like Jennings because he's going to be low on the pecking order.
3/1 assist turnover ration, and his numbers last year in 18 MPG don't seem terrible, although I'll let some of you advanced stats geeks talk about the metrics.

Dudes wanted to be here since he entered the league. I'm guessing that caused him to take less money but I could be wrong.
At least he won't punish the Knicks for the Jordan Hill draft anymore.

SMDH! The negativity knows no bounds!!! Jennings is better than a lot of options at this point.
knicks1248@ 7/4/2016 4:33 PM
We definitely have a fragile roster
ChuckBuck@ 7/4/2016 4:33 PM
I like it. As a backup this is a good move, and Rose insurance.
20 minutes a game to keep Rose from disintegrating.
ESOMKnicks@ 7/4/2016 4:34 PM
Why do you say he sucks? The guy is insane high octane, killer crossovers, stops and starts on a dime, amazing drives, fakes off the entire opposition as if he were Pistol Pete. An absolute steal at 5 mil!!!!!
dk7th@ 7/4/2016 4:34 PM
he can't defend or shoot at the nba level. he is a loser. if galloway is retained i hope to god he beats jennings out of the backcourt rotation.
one year and 5 million. at least it's one year.
meloshouldgo@ 7/4/2016 4:35 PM
I think this is a good signing and fills a need - but it probably creates another one. If we lose DWill that is.

I agree. Can't believe they got him for that. I was wondering which d league guy they were going to take a chance on. I thought Jennings would get a starting job.
meloanyk@ 7/4/2016 4:36 PM
Perfect pg for triangle lol. Jennings at $5 is good value for Knicks and Horny works well with pg's

Let it go. The Knicks can only pay these guys a max of 6 mil due to early bird rights. If they want more or get offered more and take it, there's nothing we can do about that
Knixkik@ 7/4/2016 4:38 PM
A lot of us thought we might have to settle for him as our starting PG this year so great move to have him as a backup for a year.

he doesn't defend at the nba level so we can start there. now if you tell me he's defending scrubs and mostly during garbahj time that's a different story. i much rather see langston galloway out there. the kid is an eager defender and he can hit big shots.

Jennings is a PG, Gallo a SG.

I was so pissed at D'Antoni/Walsh when they didn't take a point guard in the Hill draft. So was Jennings. I think he will be a fantastic addition. Another guy betting on himself.
meloshouldgo@ 7/4/2016 4:43 PM
What is wrong with 4 boards,7 assists and 1.2 steals per 36 from a back up PG? He is plus player on both Offensive and Defensive Win shares - we could have done a lot worse
