What is wrong with 4 boards,7 assists and 1.2 steals per 36 from a back up PG? He is plus player on both Offensive and Defensive Win shares - we could have done a lot worse

As a backup point guard he absolutely does not suck
I'm not a fan of his...but he's had time to get healthy and we actually have the kind of team now where we can take a guy like Jennings because he's going to be low on the pecking order.
3/1 assist turnover ration, and his numbers last year in 18 MPG don't seem terrible, although I'll let some of you advanced stats geeks talk about the metrics.
he doesn't defend at the nba level so we can start there. now if you tell me he's defending scrubs and mostly during garbahj time that's a different story. i much rather see langston galloway out there. the kid is an eager defender and he can hit big shots.
Galloway sucks, afraid to shoot. Not clutch. Don't mind as 12th player on the team

Dudes wanted to be here since he entered the league. I'm guessing that caused him to take less money but I could be wrong.
At least he won't punish the Knicks for the Jordan Hill draft anymore.
LOL yeah. Not a huge fan of his - mostly for the way he's showboated against us - but I like him backing up Rose.

Struggling to understand the win shares and o/d ratings concepts. Boy, I'm old.

I am not a fan of his but as a back up this is a good deal but its still a 1yr rental with zero upside. So the knicks will likely go into next summer looking for both a starter and backup

3 upside points:
- He's on a 1 year contract and he'll be playing for his next. - He's on a 1 year contract and comes off the cap for Westbrook. - He's on a 1 year freakin' contract.

Unless he was going to take a 4-5+ million dollar pay cut, how could we have signed him? He is going to easily get 8 million a year and maybe upwards of 12.

Some of these guys i swear are just F.Asshola trolling on here cause no matter what move the Knicks make Asshola and certain people on here try their best to find a way to hate on it even though their reasons are usually ridiculous....lol

LG was never a PG. Unless Phil can somehow work some magic and pick up a better back up at the 2. Galloway would probably be penciled in. But dont know if you remember LG's horrible shooting last year? This, in itself, does not change LT and LG probably getting signed.
WOODMANnYk@ 7/4/2016 5:00 PM
Good pickup for the knicks and you can move Rose to the 2 spot at times during the game.. I like it.
Good pick up phil..

he is listed as a pg on both bballref and espn. he's a triangle point guard not a "pure" point guard. he is a good defender which has to be the priority since the knicks have been a turnstile back there since forever. secondly, his shooting tailed off no doubt as the team as a whole imploded. prior to that however he hit some pretty big shots. maybe he got tired too i don't know.
