I hate the Heat and the Bulls but it's hard to hate a player like Wade. I think it really sucks that Miami is so cheap that they won't find an extra 10MM for him. This guy has delivered multiple championships. This is why I have no issues with what Durant did, you can put in the best years if your life for a team and they'll dump you when you expect them to come through.
but riley is also making the smart move. he is setting himself up for next summer.
Yes it makes business sense in a cold blooded way. I just think they owe him this.

Wade had a role in this decision as well.
Bulls have no idea what they're doing. They trade Rose in order to finally rebuild, then they go and sign Rondo and Wade as their starting backcourt. Talk about doing a complete 180 in 2 weeks. And even with an older Wade and a dysfunctional Rondo, they are still not very good.

Also, what part of their future are they giving up to move Jose?

Wade was a big part of the reason why big names went to Miami. With the way they treated him I doubt anyone goes to them next year. The Lakers did right by Kobe and Pat pretty much kicked Wade to the curb. How is it possible that Wade has never been the highest paid player on his team. For all the money he gave up for the better of the team they should have done him a solid. While I did not agree the extension the Lakers gave to Kobe at the time, I respect them for taking care of a player who gave his all for them. Don't forget what Pat said to Lebron before Lebron went back to the Cavs. Superstars don't forget those things.
Will the bulls be good? Rondo, butler, wade, lopez, mirotic, portis, mcdermot. Not that bad.

They are playoff contenders but not elite. This move reeks of desperation. They were becoming irrelevant after trading Rose, so they're trying to appease the fan base by signing Rondo and Wade. I guess it's a 2 year timetable for both--short term--but it's completely changing directions rather quickly.
Never thought Wade would leave, never thought the Heat would let him. They weren't contending this year, they should have made things right. That first Knicks/Bulls game is going to be fun.
I kind of think rondo is a better fit next to butler than rose was. Also wade looked great in the playoffs and i think he still has plenty left to offer especially in the playoffs if he is healthy. If Portis takes a big step forward they have a chance to make some noise. Not a real contender per sat nut can win a round in playoffs.

It's stupid but at least its only 2 yrs and not 4 yrs. Broken Down Wade is still a major upgrade over Rose though on both sides of the ball.
I know they want do this but If they started Wade at PG and had Rondo come off the bench it would be a 2.0 version of Rose and Jennings. As much as Butler plays with the ball in his hands they could actually do that but I highly doubt Rondo would be up for coming off the bench
The way to beat the bulls is to force them to beat you from 3. Their only shooters are Mirotic and Butler(Streaky).

I like has Riley can do no wrong ever. Whatever happens is part of his master plan.
Bosh-Whiteside-McRoberts-Dragic-Winslow will be making over $70m between them, with Bosh's $25 possibly an albatross.
Sure, $36m or so is a nice number (after cap holds) but not two max numbers. Who's going there to follow in the Big 3's footsteps?

You really think a 35 year old Wade is better at this point than a 28 year old Rose one year removed from a relatively healthy season? I know he's not the same player he once was physically after injuries, but I would hope he'd be better right now in his prime than an older Wade. You're right, though, he did look good in the playoffs.

McDermott shot 42.5% from three on 3.2 attempts(5 attempts per 36). I thought he sucked last year until someone pointed it out to me a month or so ago.
Wow. Wade did it. Good for him. But I have no idea what the Bulls are thinking. Getting rid of one year of DRose for two years of Wade and Rondo??? Huh?
