Knicks · O.T. Judge to rule on mistrial for Rose case on Tuesday (page 6)

I guess you could put me in that category, though I never bashed him just he fact that this is a distraction and is happening at the most important part of the season for anyone who is joining a new team. That's been my issue from day one. How is he supposed to get on the same page as his teammates QUICKLY when we're talking about this?
I disagree with one point, that this is the most important time. Its a short term setback at best. If this happened in April during a playoff push or god forbid the post season that would be 10000x worse. At end of the day Rose misses a handful of preseason games. I just think this looks and sounds much worse than it is.

Baute said the accuser sent the messages with perfect punctuation and use of slang words despite her claim that she was wasted from a night of drinking.
this suit is so bogus
after the facts came out I certainly agree. This chick tried to extort money from Rose. That said, he willingly manipulated the situation and even though he knew something was off. I mean he took a condom from the "scene" and you don';t do that unless you know you and your boys just did something fucking stupid

On one hand, I hear you. On the other, I was raised to respect women. I think about how my grandmother or mother would react if I was in Rose's position. I also think about how I would flip my $$$$ if I heard about if someone did that to my sister.
The whole reason his behavior pisses me off is not only am I forced to associate with a piece of shit, he's one of the biggest cogs on the team--the biggest if you go with Briggs' assessment
Bill Clinton didn't rape anyone but he totally abused his power and got impeached. I still hold the "get in the truck" incident against Mebury. It took a lot of great moments for people to "forget" Kobe's misconduct. I'm not going to just dismiss Rose's conduct because this bitch is a gold digger. I expect more and generally speaking don't back those who have proven themselves to be suspect.

As a man you are supposed to get rid of condoms after use. Women are crazy. That's the first gem you should drop on any young person after telling them to use condoms
SupremeCommander wrote:if he did what to your sister? What exactly is Rose's conduct that you are so upset about? She texted for sex and said "bring friends." Is the expectation he shouldn't do that because its disrespectful to woman? That makes no sense and is totally unrealistic. Are you telling me you have never conducted in behavior that would embarrass your mother or grandmother? Good for you if so, I would venture to say most would not be able to say that. If "this happened" to your sister I am sure you would be supportive, than maybe after all the dust settles you might suggest that moving forward she refrain from texting her partners for sex and ask that they bring friends and drugs along for more fun. The culprit for lack of respect here is Jane Doe, whom it seems 1) asked for sex 2) asked for friends to come along for the ride 3) asked for drugs (ecstasy). She didn't respect herself.fishmike wrote:SupremeCommander wrote:the question is what is he supposed to do? Think about it... he's 24. It appears that Rose didn't just take what was offered, he did what was requested. This is backed up by Jane's co-worker as well as Rose and others. The texts are pretty clear no? Maybe new facts surface, but as of now I am just calling it like I see it.

you should surround yourself with better women if that's how you respond...

doesn't it make it worse if you have access to a bunch of women and you decide to exert your influence to take advantage of someone who was either emotionally unstable or wasted, very likely both?
everyone engages in embarrassing behavior and I of course have participated in my fair share of embarrassing behavior. the difference between my embarrassing behavior and this is quite contrasting.
so I take it you're cool with his behavior then? nothing wrong? you wouldn't get mad if a woman who you were very dear with got treated like that? or how about the most unstable of chicks that have crossed your path - you think getting her loaded and having a train run on her is appropriate?
I hope Rose didn't do it and is found not guilty, but even so I think people should back off rather than lay into the accuser if that happens.

No surprise there. One of the worst cases of gold digging i think i have ever seen in sports.

Derrick Rose has been cleared of all charges in his civil rape case, the Associated Press reports.

It was reported they had sex around 11 times before the accusation. 2 times the first yr and 9 times the second yr. The vast majority of women are raped by people they know, don't think the fact they had consensual sex in the past means she couldn't have been raped. Anyways the trial is over, hopefully justice was served

The comment was more about Roses sexual fantasies and not really about if he raped her or not. People are sayimg regardless of rape Rose is a piece of trash.
I also wouldn't base my thoughts on if he raped her or not on there past sexual history. But more so on the details she laid out.

Everything u said is true. But someone who truly was raped doesnt send a text asking why Rose also didn't have sex with her friend. The evidence was overwhelming against Doe. The jury only deliberated for 3 hrs. Doe is an obviously troubled individual. Glad for Rose
Rose at 24 (not 74) was thinking with his penis like all young men do at different stages in their life. It's a natural human behavior to get happy when a woman says, come in I want you. Now maybe I'm the only guy that women are attracted to.....If thats the case, I feel sorry for the rest of you guys.
I just don't see how knick fans are all over this dude before the trial and even after. To me thats called unconscious bias, especially when you accuse him of something before the facts. Trump said Obama wasn't a US citizen, before seeing any facts. Trump tried to give someone the death penalty, but to find out they were innocent.
Thats what we need to fix in this world......Instead of focusing on the sex drive of a young 24 yr old. Wake up!

Unconscious bias or JEALOUSY
And I hope Rose is motivated to reevaluate his social life and what he nearly lost due to his lifestyle.
Like I said previously, regarding Rose all I care about is him helping us win this season.
