The Celtics cut RJ Hunter. He was a guy I loved when he was in college. He's can shoot. The Knicks really need to develop the SG of the future. I don't know if he does enough other things... Phil definitely wasn't into THJ. That said, his play in the NCAA tourney was iconic

He was giving the Knicks fits in preseason. Really didn't pay much attention to his D. I would put Hunter in D-league, see how Holiday works out.

Nalod @ 10/24/2016 1:53 PM
Is Hunter destined for The Boston Dleague team?

Wow. Also Archie Goodwin and Tyler Ennis were waived.

Tyler Ennis career starter off bad by getting drafted by a team with 3 all star caliber point guards. He's been trade fodder due to his 2nd round status. RJ Hunter is in the same boat. Archie Goodwin has been poorly developed. Horny had him and Ennis in Phoenix. I winner if there will be a connection?

callmened @ 10/24/2016 4:22 PM
Goodwin and Hunter are fringe NBA players

the NBA draft is weak and weaker each yr. i dont know why boston loaded up on all these draft picks that no one wants. instead they accumulate them and their value decreases with time (and missed layups). ainge's plan is backfiring

We need one more in the Manu Ginobli mold.

This is exactly right about the picks. While i admire his ability to accumulate draft picks while also creating a good team (as opposed to a complete tank job), i think he is one of the guys who has overvalued picks tremendously. His plan is not backfiring because at least he was able to build a team at the same time. Philly is where it backfired horribly. Everyone always talks about tanking and building thru the draft, but the actual low odds of drafting great talent is eye-popping. Generally speaking, you are unlikely to get a starting caliber player in the first round of the draft. Getting a rotation player is also far from a sure thing. Even with a top 5 pick, getting a future all-star is very unlikely. Us getting Porzingis was a god-send. Getting a franchise player is almost impossible. Nothing wrong with keeping your own picks, but hoarding other teams picks in attempt to eventually cash them in together, particularly non-lottery picks, is a false-hope. The team with the picks always overvalues them. The only thing that keeps them reasonably valuable is the low salary cost in this market of signing players to massive contacts.

Just don't like Durant on the Warriors, hope they make it to the finals to lose.
CrushAlot @ 10/25/2016 10:55 PM
Spurs up 11 after 1 quarter.
magicTs @ 10/26/2016 12:09 AM
Simmons looks pretty darn good for the Spurs. Guess they are just always going to be great under Pop!
Nalod @ 10/26/2016 8:15 AM
Shumps hair: $10,000,000 salary
JR Smith: $14,000,000

24mil for those two. Glad they are not here any more. They need to be with an Alpha like Lebron to succeed.

Shump might be traded:http://bleacherreport.com/articles/26714...

Might have been the yips getting a new bling and introducing his clown top hair, but the kid still shoots awful and finish's weak at the basket.

jrodmc @ 10/26/2016 9:45 AM
I hate the Spurs even more now. Now that Duncan's gone, I'd love to see Pop handling a lottery team. Guess that's a dream that's not coming true any time soon.

And martin, can we please have the intern herd all the "well the Warriors got blown out too" sheehit posts to this thread?

Nalod @ 10/26/2016 3:07 PM
I can' hate on the spurs.
Have to like they way they groomed Kwai to a top 10 player in the Legue!

GS blown out by Spurs im sure has some GS fans in a tizz! ZaZa at the C is pretty bad.
Im sure they will figure it out. The upside on paper is tremendous.

Embiid balling for the Sixers on ESPN...
holfresh @ 10/26/2016 8:27 PM
Okafor making it look easy against Adams..Wow..The young bigs on the Sixers..
yellowboy90 @ 10/26/2016 8:30 PM
Knicks should try to get Noel. The sixers just have too many Centers and Noel is a rfa after this year.
