Residual Laker fans still exist despite recent decline.
Kind of like when Knicks were on national TV. Fans like watching stars. Kobe was a huge draw. I commend his effort to come back and earn that paycheck.
The way he want out was awesome.
Years of success has built up a pretty good national fanbase.

It sounds like Pekovic is done. He said he cannot run without pain.

I wouldn't be opposed to taking a peek at Lance. We need the perimeter D and ball movement and playmaking he would bring.

I think he's supposedly going back to the Pelicans, though.

I think this signing was in place of bringing Lance back.

Interesting... though with the way Montejunas contracts go, he may not be on the Pelicans by mid January.

I would definitely take a look at Lance Stephenson. I've always thought he'd be an interesting fit here. He's a pit bull warrior mentality type guy.

The Chicago Bulls discussed trade scenarios involving Jimmy Butler with both the Minnesota Timberwolves and Boston Celtics in the offseason and could be ready to reengage his market leading to the trade deadline.

After coming close to a full rebuild in trading Butler, the Bulls signed Dwyane Wade and Rajon Rondo in July. The Rondo signing hasn't worked out and he's unlikely to finish the season with the Bulls while Butler has continued to play at an All-Star level.

"League sources say the team made it known weeks ago through back channels that Jimmy Butler is available for the right price," said Ric Bucher.

"The Bulls, league sources say, have been uncertain about building around Butler even after signing him to a five-year, $95 million deal. One league executive said GM Gar Forman held off aggressively pursuing a move sooner this season because of the team's surprising start. Now that the Bulls have leveled off, Butler is apparently back on the market, along with (Rajon) Rondo of course."

Hawks Trying To Trade Tim Hardaway Jr. For 2nd Round Picks
JAN 6, 2017 4:33 PM

The Atlanta Hawks traded their first round pick which became Jerian Grant in 2015 to the New York Knicks for Tim Hardaway Jr.

A season and a half later, the Hawks are interested in trading Hardaway before he hits restricted free agency this summer.

"They're already shopping Tim Hardaway for second round picks because they don't want to pay him," said Lowe.

Hardaway is averaging 11.3 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 21.9 minutes per game this season for the Hawks.

The Hawks have already traded Kyle Korver and they're now also shopping Paul Millsap.
