How terrible Noah is.
Your most shocking thing with this Knicks team is...?
How terrible the defense is. Every game someone on the other team posting career highs.
I find them boring to watch- I like defense and toughness. Watching this team I zone out when the other team has the ball because I know we're not going to do anything worth watching that side of the ball.
Shocking thing to me was being 3 games over .500 earlier in the season that I thought possible!
Also, that Hornacek is not using the triangle much which Phil wants.
Why would he want that? Phil's belief is LONG TERM if the team "gets it", the ceiling is higher.

Exactly. I was going to say the most shocking thing is how well they've done in close games, which has inflated their record.
...their fan base shits on their best player consistently, despite not being able to win ONE EFFING GAME WITHOUT HIM.

Your out of touch. The fan base has given your best player ample opportunities to prove everyone wrong.
We got no defensive scheme. What are we? Do we force players who drive to the sideline? Do we direct them to our C ? Who knows.

Some have been harsh on KP but I wouldn't say they're $hitting on him

This is sad... I mean it is sad that Melo is still Knicks best player.
And it is shocking that I am still watching entire games...

Ummmm, we've won games without KP. Please pay attention.

Yes, I must have just imagined the last 4 years of trade threads, bench threads, The Trade Rape threads, Fat threads, MeeeeLow threads, team cancer threads, drove Lin away to 24 million dollars threads, etc, etc...
shocking UK fans afraid of Rambis as if he is a Fungis, Noah being so bad, that Milwaukee would want him, and that Lance Stephanson is our savior.
Meanwhile we bail on Rose for Brandon Knight and have a mid term cram session on Trigonometry!!!!

And yet you still stand by his game. Tell me how great he is again? Maybe you can convince me to keep him around even after his NTC expires.
to me as well...how terrible Noah has been. Mozzie would have been better at the same deal.
I'm shocked that there are 8 fckng coaches on staff that eat, sleep, and talk Knicks every damn day, and they can't figure out how to get their team to play decent defense, not even great, but decent enough to let the offense win games.
I'm shocked that Rose is avg less then 5 assist, with players like melo, kp, lee, KOQ, and damn near every player on the roster who can all knocked down open shots. If he did that, the defense wouldn't be such a hot topic, because we would be avg more than we give up.

Lance Stephenson isn't the savior but he is available for nothing. Ten day contracts start tomorrow. He is still recovering from his injury but a mid January return has been mentioned. It doesn't seem like a huge risk to put him in the discussion of someone you might try out for 10 days. If you are concerned about his character or his being back in NY don't go there. He is mentioned because he is a young, two way wing player that is available.

This is spot on. Literally all they have to play is mediocre defense, and the offense will win games. Rose, Melo, and KP can all take over, and we have enough guys around them who have proven to knock down open shots. It shouldn't be that hard to play even slightly below average defense, instead of piss-poor defense.

8 coaches and the players won't execute.
At some point blame is not the answer.
1. This is not a championship caliber team.
2. They have not played long enough to have built a culture.
3. Injuries matter.
I mentioned injuries a few weeks back not because Im some kind of prophetic genius, but because its a fact of life.
Few teams manage to avoid it. When they do, its a special occurrence and magical things happen.
Thus, I don't see the need to blow anything up. Our bench was playing great but inexperience has caught up with them.
I know "gee nalod, if you can't contribute....." Fact is our discussions are not contributions. Nobody on the knicks is listening in on us.
If Phil is frustrated of the lack of triangulation which has resulted in some short term success I'd be curious if they go back to it and play thru it even if it means losing.
Defense is obviously a problem but it was not a few weeks ago. Im not sure what the "Reason" is for their decline.

i wish people would stop about the injuries. Orlando was missing their best player (or at least their best offensive player)
We've played plenty of teams that have had their own injuries. It's not unique to us.
Most surprising thing to me is the current regression. I hope it is an anomaly and that starting tonight we get back to winning ways. I also hope that Jeff starts holding people accountable: you don't play defense, you don't play. Period. Enough of the trading baskets mentality; or let's have fun on the court (you're paid to win, not to enjoy yourself like it's on the playground)

Himself included, he gets a lot of credit when things are going well, now it's he players are not responding.
