There you go again passing judgement with zero clue what really happened or is happening..

passing judgment? I said if there was a family emergency or something i would understand but its clear thats not the case at all. Pretty much everyone here is saying the same thing as i am

Isola just tweeted it appears he maybe in Chicago. His family is there. Not sure if it is a family situation because I have no clue why he didn't show up. Too early to make assumptions in my opinion.
i dont think its early to start to piece things together. We know there is something going on between him and jeff. I hope you are right and its a big misunderstanding but that is starting to seem unlikely. You cant just no show a game without informing the team with a legit reason

dude, you can't even do that on 9-5 at company where you worked for 10 yrs..no show no call is a serious issue on every level..Rose is binded by a 21 million dollar contract that im sure he breached big time.

thats a disrespect on so many levels it aint even funny, the team, the fans, the coach..like WTF dude..I can only imagine how pissed off and frustrated he must be feeling because he got benched a couple of games last season, and had no problem with it.

I don't understand why people are running off with their own narrative..Rose is a pro and has never done anything like this..Something serious could be going down with his family..That makes the most sense with no info..Why run off on tangents...

Yeah. That's what happened.

if it was a family issue and he isnt mad at management then surely he would have informed management. Players dont no show games without a reason

Seems like you wait and find out before making assumptions. Something is up. He went to shoot around in the morning.
yes he was a shootaround. But the fact remains that you dont no show without a legit reason. Its clear jeff and him are at least having disagreements.

Yeah, given what we know and Noah's reaction, it seems like he just bounced. Obviously you wait and see. But if his kid was really sick or something, it's the easiest thing in the world to text someone with the team or at least tell his agent to contact the team and explain the absence. This is unheard of. I've never seen this in 25+ years of watching the NBA for any team, let alone the Bad News Knicks.

The Shelbourne report looks like a planted PR story to relieve the pressure. I'm sure its intended as much to save Rose's reputation as the Knicks front-office [though the front-office is not to blame]. Rose will have to be moved regardless of the upcoming narratives.

The season is not trashed at all. The Rose incident will trigger some roster changes but that's business as usual for the Knicks. Most affected will be Noah. If Rose is in breach of contract, he could get released and in a nod and wink, Noah may get traded to whoever is interested in Rose [unlikely but possible].

Given the poor play, chances are a winning record for the rest of the month will make all this forgettable. If the Knicks are smart they'll treat this as an opportunity for course correction. If they aren't then the season will be an endless soap-opera of losses and recrimination.

Probably wise not to hold our collective breaths on that one eh?!

Rose can play. He's not an mvp anymore but he's a solid player.

The reason I didn't like the trade was drama ALWAYS seems to follow him. Some his fault, some not his fault....but geez

Shelbourne is Phil's people..If this is AWOL..Phil is on the hot seat with MSG losing money the last five quarters...The team isn't good..They can't compete without aging Melo after spending close to 100 mil of Dolan's money..Tough sale to think we move forward from this if it's AWOL..The season will be done and so will fan/Garden interest..

Yeah, I said earlier - Shelbourne is best friends with Jeannie Buss. That feels like spin control. I hope Rose and his family are okay, but this seems like him going AWOL.

I agree with you overall, but given our knowledge of the Knicks in the Melo and Dolan era, I predict soap opera and recrimination.

We shall see, I guess. Even when the team is terrible, I suppose it's never boring.

The Knicks saved him from Chicago, supported him through all his nonsense in the summer and gave him the platform to revitalize his career and earn a massive contract either with us or elsewhere. And yet not even half way through the season he s***s all over us. The guy is an unprofessional disgrace, he's not a leader or an example to our young players and he doesn't even make us that much better. He's a selfish self centered individual and we would be better off without the "drama" he brings.

Look, the toxic critics of Phil need to go take a shower. Phil pulled off the best scenario he could by signing Rose and Noah given the urgency to win as quickly as possible. It was risky to do and a gutsy move. All the fiscal freaks can now breathe easier - Rose ain't getting resigned here.

As for Dolan's money, no one has managed that money more responsibly than Phil. We have a pretty decent team given a cold start, we have picks, and we have youth who play with passion. How is Phil the problem - and please don't bullsh@t me with alternative universe theories - nobody in NY sports positions are perfect or given the benefit of the doubt.

If Phil is pulling Rose's fat out of the fire, its a debt Rose owes Phil, end of story. OTOH, Rose needs to make the break cleanly and professionally - its his sh@t.

The Rose trade went down right around bad earnings...I remember thinking Dolan knew what was coming out and this was a ballsy trade considering how Phil is building the team..I thought it was a hail Mary and was wondering why he did it..Less than a month later negative earnings came out..

I don't care how anyone feels about Phil..Negavite earnings ain't going quietly with stock holders especially when Dolan just spent a billion of company money to renovate the arena..Sure interest rates are at historic lows but they were making tons of money a few years before Phil...

rose might be upset about the 4th quarter benching .... he is not getting calls he's used to getting in Chicago from the refs. he needs to start more transition buckets maybe he wants to but Jeff, is holding him back from creating those plays. Regardless,Very unprofessional if not a family emergency I hope he is ok, we missed him tonight .

I don't care how anyone feels about Phil..Negavite earnings ain't going quietly with stock holders especially when Dolan just spent a billion of company money to renovate the arena..Sure interest rates are at historic lows but they were making tons of money a few years before Phil...

A short losing streak during a season that looks to be on the right track otherwise isn't the reason Dolan is losing money. And Porzingus and company are better attractions than we've had in years. You can't make a direct or even remote correlation between the Knicks crisis-du-jour and MSG earnings.

You're groping.

Most effected will be Noah. If Rose is in breach of contract, he could get released and in a nod and wink, Noah may get traded to whoever is interested in Rose [unlikely but possible].

Given the poor play, chances are a winning record for the rest of the month will make all this forgettable. If the Kicks are smart they'll treat this as an opportunity for course correction. If they aren't then the season will be an endless soap-opera of losses and recrimination.

Shelbourne is Phil's people..If this is AWOL..Phil is on the hot seat with MSG losing money the last five quarters...The team isn't good..They can't compete without Melo after spending close to 100 mil of Dolan's money..Tough sale to think we move forward from this if it's AWOL..

MSG as a publically traded company has been losing money the last year and 4 months if not longer..I haven't checked lately but last quarter they lost money too..I'll check in the morning..I never said they were losing money because of a losing streak...Knicks have been advertising tickets and suites in season the last two years, you never used to see that..Secondary market on tickets collapsed two years ago..Secondary tickets used to go for up to 250% of face value in 2013/14..

3 more quarters of losing money before next season won't go down well at 2 Penn Plaza..You don't have to believe me, look it up yourself..Don't shoot the messenger..

The past 16 years had to catch up with them at some point- I've stuck with this team through all the BS mainly due to fond memories of the 90s. People who grew up after that- I don't honestly get get why they'd be Knick fans or why they'd spend big money to attend games. Seriously, if all you knew was The IT era and beyond...

But you cannot keep him on the team if he's just pouting.

Again, I hope he is okay. But if he is - he's gotta go.

Those are the only two trades I can think of. But then I looking at them together, why wouldn't the Sixers and Miami just do a trade together (Unless Dragic doesn't want to go to the Sixers). I think I'd probably rather do a sixers trade and fill the PG spot with hopefully a high draft pick.

The reason I didn't like the trade was drama ALWAYS seems to follow him. Some his fault, some not his fault....but geez

Lets just wait and see how this story pans out shall we? Rose was always professional up to this point even with ridiculous levels of criticism he deserves the benefit of the doubt.

Only way we dump Noah is with lottery picks no sane team is taking him and unfortunately we are the dumbest team in the NBA
