Knicks · Melo said he'd waive NTC if Knicks want to go in a different direction.....He just cracked open the door. (page 4)

Here we go again. I really don't think star players like playing in New York and have a problem with New York press and fans who will jump your bones in a second.
If we just give Melo away with nothing in return. We will still suck for the next 10 years and maybe the next 40 years and maybe some of you young guys who see it easy to rebuild will think twice when you are waiting 40 years for a championship. Now some of you are starting to doubt KP Its in the Knicks fans DNA

Yeah, no one wants to lose him for nothing.
With this ownership and management, there's a good chance we'll suck for the next 10 to 40 years regardless though.

This shouldn't be surprising. I think very few people would be fine with working for an organization that didn't want them. And almost no one would take an 8 figure pay cut (his trade kicker) to do so.

Lots of over reacting going on around here which is expected but annoying as well.

And Grunwald made the Bargnani trade. So the fans ran him out of town. What's new. The quality of leadership has nothing to do with anything. Do one thing perceived as a mistake and there's the door. Next sucker...

I have a feeling Dolan made that trade while in a state of emotional agitation. Just got all nervous about Prokhorov doing the mega trade for the Boston championship starting lineup and posterizing him in front of the Garden, no less. The Russians are good in playing these mind games, it seems.

YEah and the fans didn't run him out of town. He had just assembled a team that won the Atlantic the previous year. It was 4 days before training camp and came out of nowhere.
