Is there anyone on this forum that thinks that? You should name them because I can't find them.

If you are whining about free agents you have to be dreaming
Which great free agents have signed with us?
If you think that guys like Lopez Noah Lee Afflalo etc won't continue to sign with us lol come on

I'll make a friendly bet with anyone. This summer will be able to sign 2 players of the level of Lee, Noah, RoLo or Afflalo. Just supply and demand.

I'm not whining about free agents. I said earlier in this thread that the Knicks have three strikes against them, bad management, bad ownership and bad taxes. I just am wondering who you were saying thinks CP3 is coming to NYC.

Man your all over the place. Relax you should know the real reason why the top FAs don't come here it has nothing to do with Dolan, Phil or taxes. Players know that the media here is toxic and blow thing a to the upteenth proportions.

Besides free agency isn't going to be the NYK bread and butter the draft is where it is at. You get your good players through the draft. Then the FAs come here. It's been the formula for Warriors and other teams as well. Just look at Cleveland LeBron went back why because they rebuilt in the draft you think he goes back there with a stinky roster he'll no because he is a front runner.

I urge everyone to keep calm. Don't let the moment play in your mind because it is just that.

The knicks beat writer crew in happier times: (yes that is isola!)

That is because the Knicks have had the wrong approach. You finally have a President who is focused on draft and trying to do the right things. Half the people can't handle it. He has one draft to really work with with a high pick. Some want instant gratification well it doesn't happen like that for the Knicks never has. A team has to do its times. The Knicks always tried the short cut route. Which is filled with pot holes. Its actually the worst way to go. Get your talent through the draft build the players up and then the FAs come.

Wait, you're of the belief that Phil Jackson has been here building for the future this entire time?

Yes, I am sure that explains Robin Lopez, Aaron Afflalo, Joakim Noah and Derrick Rose.

Phil Jackson hasn't been good. He has tried to legitimately win and has failed. Nothing he has shown outside of drafting KP - something Clarence Gaines is given credit for - shows that he knows how to building a team.

Phil came in trying to win for sure. But he said he wanted to always have a future component as well!!! He knew there weren't a lot of picks. He wasn't really able to come in and say we can draft every year. But he has found ways to start the process and going into this draft he has a chance to add to the talent pool this summer. Phil hasn't been ignoring building up the youth on the team.

Good player, logical talking head, but how has he distinguished himself as a coach? Or GM?
He said "We need a superstar". Profound! Who doesn't say that!!!
Fredo Buss needs help, but c'mon now, he don't need that. Everyone knows you need superstars!!!!

What, if anything, does this have to do with the topic being discussed?

We are not the only pouched up place in the league.
Chicago for years has been a mess! Paxton and Forman fisticuffs!! Thibs! Rose. They had the problem with Eddy and handled it bad.
Magic Johnson meddling rarely worked out.
Kahn.
Anything in Cleveland not named Lebron.
Clippers.
Portland GM problems. Whitsett, Oshly.

Its like only knicks are the shyt team and the media is just swarming as if Charles Oakly was just sitting minding his own business and Dolan, snickering with out any reason sent some "bad hombres" to mess him up!!!!

Dolan has looked bad enough, he don't need any help. Phuck oak for making a spectacle of himself. I blame BOTH of the them!
Really, a free agent looking for big money and an opportunity to win are not going to be "Gee, they treat Oak so bad, whats gonna happen to me?"
Or, "Gee, they gave Melo everything he wanted, and he promised to play team ball, maybe I should not RENEG on a promise if I sign there!!!!"
Media is getting some of you all worked up.
Glad Oak didn't take it one notch higher and fall on a child or an elder women during the game. It was a bad scene.

The video and commentary are vicious and inappropriate, IMO.The demonization of public figures has become a cottage industry. Dolan has had his failures but he hires the best he can find.

Carmelo wants to be here. Jennings wants to be here. Porzingis wants to be here. The list is long.

These days FAs aren't moving because money talks and the home team has a monopoly on best money. This media hysteria is like grasping at straws to prove a point.

Agreed.

Jackson inherited a no future situation that stifled him for two years or more. He'd built up our draft picks and performed some risky deals hoping they'll work out. This utopian bytching about Phil is so out of line That there are no words.

The results are mixed. But the intent of Dolan is to win. Why would it be anything else? The NBA has stepped on the Knicks in dozens of ways over the years - see the reffing for an example.

I don't think you understand basic common sense. The man is over 200 games under .500 as Knicks owner, has been through 6 GM's and 11 head coaches, fought and banned numerous beloved Knick figures and has created a constant circus atmosphere around the franchise since he assumed ownership. That's not mixed. That's complete and total failure that you seem to dismiss very easily.

You seem to ignore all this, throwing all logic out the window, to make baseless accusations about the NBA and other unidentified figures regarding the Knicks failures.

17 years of losing basketball isn't a coincidence. The man isn't good at what he does and has turned a once-proud franchise into a laughingstock.
