We can't afford Gordon Hayward.... why not Gallo? He's healthy now and playing very well again.
Thoughts?
Send Melo to the Clips, TFK comes back, DK kicks the rust off the clubhouse doors...
I like the rooster but for value lets see who/where we draft
Gallo would be the perfect player in the triangle. I would love it.

You give him Chandler Parsons type money?

signing Gallo and being forced to take back TFK is like trading for Marbs and having to take back Penny Hardaway

The market is crazy but the answer would be probably yes. He's making 15... He could get 20-22.
Melo would have to be gone though. From a team standpoint the Knicks would be better. They would have to dump salary and gain guard support in that trade though.
Its interesting. I think he would want to come back too. He wanted the pressure. I remember him always saying that when he was here. Would be a treat to have him back

I'm not against that idea because it would only bolster our profile with the international crowd
If Hayward is not happening then Gallo can be a decent plan B (especially for triangle)
Dude loved NYC when he was here. But it would bringing another guy with an injury history.
Hayward would never happen because if he ever leaves utah it will be to go to Boston. But Gallo is a legit, and solid option.
Boston can sign Haywood, and have the no. 1 pick in this draft.
Ainge is channeling some serious Red Aurbach mojo these Days!!!
I don't know about Gallo unless we move Melo
I also think Lance Thomas deserves key minutes next year.
Thomas, Lee, Holiday as a wing rotation.
Based on this season we need
to get a starting point that shoots 3 well, defends and can pass the ball
to get a go to scorer off the bench
Gallo can be a versatile 6th man that can come in for either Melo or Thomas. We already have a high priced bench guy in Noah, bring in another lol
But seriously, I wouldn't mind Gallo as a plan B.
We need those ping pong balls to bounce certain ways for our point guard.
Believe it or not D.Rose is still not out of the question, if price is right & he commits himself to the system.
Is it smart to give injury riddled guys contracts when their approaching 30.
pass

Only reason I would hesitate to take him back is the injury stuff.
Otherwise, he would be a perfect for this team.

Price, defense, and passing would be my other hang ups.

His D as a SF has suffered because of injuries, but he has been considered a good defender... He is a good enough passer, IMO. Denver's offense has never really run through him, but like KP, he can pass when there is an opportunity.
Again...for me his injury issue is a problem.
As with every other FA, he is going to get PAID. Would like him back but not at the salary he's going to get.
Denver will not let him go, how about W Chandler?

how about we focus on guys under 28?
I think our greatest need is PG, a PF lunch pail type that can clean up the boards, and then athletic wing defenders with 3 pt capabilities.
I don't think we should be hung up on finding guys that have done it at the NBA level - theyre going to get paid. Save some money, take a gamble kinda like we did with some older Euro types, some NBDL types that might fit the system, play roles and contribute to the greater good.
I love Chandler and Gallo - but unless they are coming on vet min type deals - Jennings type money - $5M 1 year type deals, I'd say pass.

Kind of my thinking. Plus I want defense
