I'd say don't be irritated but rejoice 😜 At least you can see the brighter future is possible as we get rid of the older guys. It's unfortunate that Melo and Noah will be on the books but at least the bulk of the team will be young guys that make a difference going forward.

He's proof that knowing what you're doing supersedes pure physical talent. Rose has all the physical talent even after all the surgery but no understanding of how to play the position!!!

You have established a legacy now just on one game? Temper it down, enjoy the moment. He has a partical guarantee for next year with us. Hopefully he sticks.

I just wrote how Randle has shown positive impact before! He's a smarter player than BJ or Rose! He didn't even have a strong offensive game and STILL had a positive impact!!! I'm not gonna temper down my comments because it's not really about one game. Having watched Randle do the little things that our other guards don't do, THAT is a key indicator of his BB IQ and understanding of what needs to be done.

No one is suggesting he's a Star!!! This happens every time positive things are said about one of our players. The accusation that we're overrating or being premature in praising the player. That's not what this is about. If you're unfamiliar with Randle then perhaps you have more doubt or hesitation about him. There's a reason many of us wanted to see him make the roster.

I guess that depends on who you consider to be the Steph Curry we might miss out on. I worry about dropping too far down the Lottery myself but if that happens it's because we have 2 Nets games coming up. Kind of hard to play worse than a team like that. I've come to accept that the Knicks will win more of these games than we may want. SO SAD

I want either of the Kentucky guards, preference to Fox but would be ecstatic with Monk, (assuming we don't get a top 2 pick). I think both of those guys would be viewed as much better prospects if they weren't sharing the back court together. I have a feeling we're going to just miss out on the last available between the two...

Yes... our summer league was terrible. He came in and the whole team changed. He took over and uplifted everyone else. Much like what he did last night. The kid has an aura about him.... I don't want to over state things but I have a great feeling about the guy.

I believe in "aura" rubbing off on players. Randle should have been with the team from the beginning. He is to good a shooter watch him play and see how easily he shoots threes. I'm not talking stand still three either these are degree of difficulty type theees. Step backs, two three feet beyond the arc.

Good job by Phil of recovering his blunder.

I think we have to stay in the 7, 8, 9 range in order to be sure to get one of the guys we need, but even out to 12 you can still grab a good player! Just can't fall out of the Lottery.

It was fun watching him last night but i really wanted to see him shoot some 3's last night. I really liked his defense and passing though.

This is such a ridiculous statement because you can end up with OK4 instead of KP, greg Oden, instead of KD. It's really never about where you pick, it's who you pick that fits.

Cartman718 @ 3/7/2017 12:19 PM
Granted the defense was not ball hawking from the Magic, but from the highlights (i didn't watch the game), he looked like he fit really well and more importantly unlike Rose, KEPT HIS HEAD UP THROUGHOUT A PLAY! He actually reminds me of JRue. Doesn't do anything thats fantastic, but does a lot of things that's really good.

It's not a ridiculous statement. It's just a different point of view. At the time Jordan Hill did not project to be a star power fwd. Once we got him you realized he wasn't going to be a starter in this league. Steph Curry had his faults but he looked like a stud asst a position we needed. Comparing ok4 and KP? I would have been fine with ok4. He had a decent career. Ode had bad luck but he was worth being picked where he was.... anyway we could go into the draft with no picks and still come up with rookie of the year with as undrafted rookie if the basketball gods say so. So shoo fly shoo.

I was telling my co workers that. Rose bulls his way into the lane without any intention to pass. Randle never does that. He's always square to the basket ready to goo all the way, pass, shot or float it. He was really good at that all game. That's his best trait always being in control

This is basic nonsense- the higher your pick, the more players you can chose from, the few teams can pick the player you want. Do you honestly think if we had had the number 1 pick in every draft for the past 4 years we would be no better than if we'd had the number 9 pick in every draft for the past 4 years? Can you honestly not see the difference in probability?

My assumption is pouty Melo will still try to play at SF, and that Noah will be the starting center next year until the heavens part and dictate otherwise. The list shrinks if you do that.

If you don't want to do that, I don't like any of the Duke players, history tells you not to draft anyone from Arizona, Dennis Smith scares me because NC St is as disappointing as the Knicks are, Robert Williams is not what we need, and I am a big NO on Miles Bridges as history demonstrates that tweeners at SF/PF don't pan at well at all in the NBA. So that's five guys off that list and it could be more, as I really have no idea about the international players

Regardless of whether Melo stays or goes, I believe the Knicks will draft his replacement at SF!!! I just think it's the most logical thing for them to do. Get an Athletic, Skilled and Team Oriented SF like Tatum or Bridges. Hopefully Melo waives his NTC and moves on this summer. Then we can move forward and add a young STUD that passes and defends.
