Why didn't Randall ndour Plumlee play last game? Do the Knicks really believe that after 65 games were suddenly going to win 12 in a row?

We didn't have power last night so I am going to watch the game tonight. Looking at the box score I was surprised to see Randle didn't play. That doesn't make a lot of sense. Rose is talking about his free agency (when he is asked by reporters). I am not sure if the Knicks are planning on bringing him back. I don't think it is a done deal either way. I think he misses Chicago but I also think he wants to get paid. The Knicks are a team that gives big contracts out to players with injury histories so he might be back.

Dealing only with Phil, besides Noah who else has he signed that had an injury history?🤔🤔🤔🤔

Rose was traded for. There were concerns about Jennings. You took Amare and Bargs out of the picture but the owner is willing to pay for guys that have struggled to stay on the court.

I look at the Bucks and see a plan. I look at the Knicks I see a disaster. Can you imagine us losing what the Bucks have lost? But youre right--the best thing is to lose every game--we need a no brainer.

Too many bad or sub par players come out of the lottery, and by the time they develop there on another team, Its such a long shot, its so damn depressing. The direction of the franchise is like a car doing doughnuts in a parking lot.

This is blatantly untrue. Lottery drafted players are locked into their teams for five years under the rookie contract, and before that expires they can be extended or they can become a RESTRICTED free agent, which allows teams to lock them up for another 4 years.

Go look at all the top players in the league and tell me how many were NOT drafted in the lottery. Sure, there are busts, there are players that just become role players, and hey, you might get lucky with a late pick once in a while, but if you want a star, the main way of landing one is via the lottery- the odds are much much greater. That's just a fact, and I don't understand how you keep refusing to see this.

In fact I'll make it easy for you:

Lebron- 1st pick
Anthony Davis- 1st
Blake Griffin- 1st
Towns- 1st
Irving- 1st
John Wall- 1st
Durant- 2nd pick
James Harden- 3rd
Pau Gasol- 3rd
Beal- 3rd
Melo- 3rd
Chris Paul- 4th
Westbrook- 4th
Bosh- 4th
Cousins- 5th
Love- 5th
Wade- 5th
Curry- 6th
Lillard- 6th
Nowitzki- 9th
Walker- 9th
Derozen- 9th
Hayward- 10th
Klay thompson- 11th
Paul George- 11th

Kawhi Leonard- 15th (not lottery)
Antetokounmpo- 15th (not lottery)
Lowry- 24th (not lottery)
Jimmy Butler- 30th (not lottery)
Green- second round (not lottery)
Marc Gasol- second round (not lottery)
Thomas- second round (not lottery)

All the lottery picks re-signed with their teams when/if they're rookie contract was up.

also - I'd add this great story from a year or so ago from 82 Games:

After the 5th pick, your ability to draft a 'Star' drops quite a bit.

Guys look at the worst drafting team on that list. NY lol. I pray Silver gives us pitty and the number 1 pick this year.

Let's be honest - after the years of mismagement, they could give us picks 1-5 and we'd only be ready to start digging out of the hole this franchise & Dolan has dug for us over the years.

I disagree. It actually doesn't have to take that long to change the direction of a franchise if you can draft well and make smart signings. This summer could be crucial for the Knicks! 3 Picks and Cap Space is a good start and tho this season didn't go as hoped, we did see some young players step up and look like pieces for the future.

Also when you look at all those close losses it's possible that with the right talent they could have a better season next year and start to improve. Of course that depends on exactly what happens this summer.

thats the point... years of mismanagement and Phil is supposed to have a new winning core of players after 3 years? Only SA has been continuous. GS, Cle, most teams needs some era of sucking where they walk away with a few high caliber players before they are good again. None of Phil's moves to win now have worked, but he has worked hard to also rebuild the roster. Another lottery pick this offseason and perhaps a player from EU or some 2nd round luck and we could be one our way to having a legit core of young guys to build around. No more bandaids to get Melo back into the playoffs.

Still ignoring the most important thing huh? Dolan has brought in another Starphuck name to magically get us out of disfunction. A name who preaches an antiquated system that NO other team plays, few players want to play in and a system that will likely be gone in 2 years, with Phil moving to the ranch. We are teaching our so called young studs how to master Atari while everyone else plays Xbox. Makes sense for their development.

And again...Noah was Phil's guy! Rose was Phil's guy! Not Melo's. Don't think Melo makes roster moves. But do agree, only choice we have is to draft some young blood, trade for young NBA pros with upside and move on from trying to make the post season for many years. So 2001 all over again....yeah!!! Way to go Dolan.

The Knicks are pretty much right in the middle of the league in terms of offense. There are a LOT of non Triangle teams behind the Knicks offensively. It's not the Triangle that really causes the losing. A LOT of the problem is Melo and Rose are our worst defenders and also very weak at producing in the 4th quarter when the game is on the line. All those close losses are due to Melo and Rose not coming thru and producing like the team needs.

This is the +/- in 4th qtrs for this team. Melo and Rose should be at the top of this list!!!

Here are the players we could have drafted with our picks that we traded away:

2002: Amar'e Stoudamire in his prime
2006: LaMarcus Aldridge,
2007: Joakim Noah in his prime,
2010: Gordon Hayward, Paul George
2012: Dario Saric, LaVine, Nurkic
2016: Jamal Murray

That's why we have sucked for so long.

Funny, one second your saying that we are not that bad offensively but next your putting down our best offensive player? However, I know you really believe/hope that getting rid of ONE player will.make a difference. You will find out that's just not the case. Don't know what +/- has to do with us teaching our yoots a system that will be gone faster than a NY minute. My biggest complaint is with Dolan. Just saw Phil as another quick fix. Never realizing why LA didn't want him. (Ego, stubborn but more importantly preaches a system that is in the past.
