I've been saying the last couple games how bad KP's D has been lately.
Yep, cant guard quick or stretch 4's. Dont know what Knicks will do if they plan on keeping Willy and Kp on the floor at the same time. So far Willy seems like a better fit at his position. Something they will have to address even if they get rid of Melo. Thing is, he doesnt punish those smaller match ups at offensive end.
KP will be fine. He's still developing his full game but you can see that he has no real limitations. I think he's standing up too tall on D. He does that when he's not paying attention. He's got to get lower so that he can move laterally. You guys can see the flaws but from what I see he's got some very fixable technical issues. Like learning just how much space to give on D so that he can close on the shot or cut off the penetration. This is a process and you've NEVER seen a 7-3 Stretch 4 like KP so there is no real blueprint.
No one has seen a stretch 4 that is 7'3 for a reason. Tough for a 7'3 to defend quicker players. Will be an issue if he is not a 5.
Yes that's true. I think they will have to eventually get to the point where they can have KP punish teams with him posting 4's and if he's at the 5 taking them on the perimeter. I do believe KP can learn to defend smaller players better. It's a process. He's never going to be able to play 4 all the time because there are so many really small and quick 4's. Eventually we all can expect that KP will be defending the 5 spot.
I really like Jeff giving Randle good minutes like this. He needs to get as much NBA experience against this level of guards as possible.

Who do you think is better at the 5? Willy or KP?

KP is good at the 5 as a rim protector. Willy is better in the post as a scorer and passer.
Just now KP got lower on D and was able to move with a guard and go up and block the shot. That's what I was talking about with him. SOmeone must have said something to KP about being too tall on D and not getting low enough.
I guess after Rosen Phil held the triangle workshop it was inevitable that Sasha would be back in the rotation.
Is Baker hurt? In just wondering why I see Sasha out there and not Baker

I didn't read anything about him being hurt. It is odd.
This hacking thing sucks.

Agree, he is a very good rim protector.
