Sad news about Johnny Hoops. He was a great broadcaster for the Knicks. Really liked him.
callmened @ 3/14/2017 2:39 PM
i loved how he was so classy. in the 90s, the knicks used to play some unaesthetic bully ball but johnny hoops would call the games (and the hard fouls) as if they were intelligent classy plays
NYKBocker @ 3/14/2017 3:09 PM
RIP Johnny Hoops

Unbelievably sad. No better color commentator ever as far as I'm concerned. He brought SO MUCH to the table. Just lost it listening to Al Trautwig fighting back tears talking about his friend. My sister has an awesome picture of she and JA at a Knick game a few years back. Said he was one of the nicest people she's ever met. I wish I could've been there with her that day. Rest easy Johnny. You'll be missed.

Maybe my favorite Knicks commentator. Loved the combo of him and Marv.

Man this makes me sad.

Another remnant of my favorite Knicks' years gone.

Had a tape of him at half-time on the radio...He was doing an interview...Great to hear his voice.
