I hope we lose the games because it helps us more than winning. That being said they have to play the games. For me it comes down to how. If its Melo/Rose leading us to a win that its a terrible loss. If Baker/Randle play well and Willy has another double double and that produces a win so be it.
With no KP tonight I suspect Melo moves to the 4 and we get Lance Thomas at the 3. We will see.
Losing this will cancel out the horror of that win vs the pacers. Do I have faith we wont go for the win? Nope!
No way players are going to tank a game in a Garden, that would be disrespectful

So maybe the refs will screw us out of a victory...I can go for that.

Not playing a lick of defense all year is disrespectful
If we win we fall to the 9th spot in the draft. If we lose we stay tied for 6th.
Many UK aficionados will be in a CanTANKerous mood if the Knicks somehow defeat the Brooklyn Nyets!
Good luck tank charm:

Knicks controlling tempo and executing perfectly in the half court set early. Melo playing in a Zen state taking his time (even with free throws).
A big difference I've seen in the D last game and in this game is that the bigs are being aggressive on the pick n rolls and coming out further to contest--instead of just staying back. It's been working.
I do like Rose. He may struggle in areas, but he attacks and has a lethal mid range game that is sometimes automatic.

Rose is playing some of his most efficient b-ball in the last few games. It really seems like he's finally getting the offense--knowing when to shoot the midrange (he's been deadly there) and when to drive (where he is still the best in the league).
I'll say this again: If Rose wants to come back, and he's willing to give us a discount and not request a MAX contract, is it worth bringing him back? There is no one better in free agency. And he's stayed healthy.
I'm really impressed by Baker's defense. I didn't know he was this strong and tough on the perimeter.
where is scorebot? Has he finally been banned?

If we were able to trade Melo, I wouldn't mind keeping Rose and giving him a reasonable deal - maybe 3 years, $20m.
Willy at 5, Melo at 4 and LT at 3. Only 2 3 pointers by Nets. The other night ?

Good point. It makes a huge difference. That and the bigs are playing the pick and roll better running out and over extending. Willy has been good at doing that.
Also, we are controlling the pace and playing under control in the half court set and executing. Nets have the fastest pace in the NBA and we have slowed them down. Part of that is Rose's stellar play lately.

It's been kind of a mix bag of terrible and good with Rose recently but his Great games was efficient on a high volume that is carrying his TS% for the month of March.
