Yeah, I am somewhat relieved that this means we won't give him a big contract. I wonder if they'll still consider a short one?

Yeah this looks like it's over and we can relax and move on. Rose got a shot to prove he still had it. He looked pretty much like he was showcasing for his next job which bothered me.

no way. Lets he honest baker and randle run the offense better for cheaper. Plus we will most likely get a pg in the draft

i never forgave him for the AWOL incident also the whole rape incident no matter what happened bothered me. At the end of the day he isnt a pg

I don't think it is out of the question but I don't think it would be the right move. I keep thinking about Stuckey and Terrence Jones if a roster spot opens up.
The guy made $180MM and barely played, don't feel bad for him at all. He sulked and went AOL on his teammates. Thankfully we didn't sign him. Even thinking or entertaining about bringing him back was insane.
Dodged a bullet, we should have never fired with Noah on Rose.
Tough luck for him contract-wise. A season with no real injuries after proving that his game is still solid would have been a nice contract season for him.
Would have liked more assists and D from him, but having a guy who could get to the basket like he can, and shoot those midrange pull-ups with confidence and success was nice to see.
The sulking and AWOL incident was a distraction...told you something about his thinking, too.
It sucks for him and I never wish a player injured but it also shows that no team ESPECIALLY the Knicks should be thinking of giving Rose more than a 2 year contract with a third year team option. He is not a healthy player who can play alot of games. He's going to play in the 60's again this year. He is a lock to miss atleast 20 games even in years where doesn't suffer big injuries. Breaking down athlete even though still a great athletic ability within him.
I'm also now concerned we may win a few more games. Baker struggled today but Baker plays D and can have some great passing games. Those are some winning intangibles he can bring in the games he plays well.
Really stinks for him. I don't wish that he got injured, but I can't help think that this is kharma. The guy bailed on his team and didn't tell anybody about it. To me, that is worse than anything Melo has allegedly been accused of because it shows that he just doesn't care.
I hope he recovers though.
I don't feel bad for him at all. He has already amassed over 110 million in his career. If he decided to retire I wouldn't give a damn.

No offense to Baker, but this definitely helps our tanking situation. We don't have to worry about an MVP rose performance happening out of the blue now. Now we can expect a comfortable level of mediocrity the rest of the way. Will it be enough?

I like Stuckey, but I haven't seen him play much this season. I was sort of surprised Indiana waived him. I would definitely take a flier on him. Bring him in for the last five games of the season.

I agree. I think Baker works better for the tank. Rose probably would have had a big game against the Bulls. He had been playing very well.

why? 5 games? What do you learn by bringing in someone COMPLETELY new? Dude wont even have time to learn where the lockerroom is.
Also, dude had knee problems and that's probably why he was waived.

Ah, just saw he's out with a strained patella tendon. Never mind.
But plenty of teams are bringing in new guys right now. Bucks just signed Gary Payton Jr. Five games is as long as summer league and we sign guys based on summer league all the time.
Wow, I can't believe Rose is hurt again. I mean, it's not like Phil could have seen that coming, right?
Great trade. We essentially trade Lopez who played 82 for us on a cheap deal for Rose & Noah, both with recent injury history.
Who the hell could not have seen how that was going to end?
Surely not Phil Jackson.
Feel bad for the kid, or anyone with constant injuries. Think someone is still going to pay him. He needs to go to a team that already has a good PG and plays multiple guards.
Tragic tenure with the Knicks.
He seems the most forgetable Knicks soon.

you never know.
I'm watching a PG that had an injury worse than Rose, one we wish we had - Shaun Livingston.
Maybe Rose gets fixed one more time, and stays healthy.
But don't see anyone giving him more than a single year.
