I predict Melo shoots 8-26, but Knicks still win behind Plumlee's 17pts, 16 rebs and 3 blocks. This is followed by 3 threads demanding Hornacek's resignation for not benching Plumlee in the 4th in favor of playing Sasha at center

Maybe a triple double from Baker...that will help things out. Is KP out again?
You heard that Walton's attempt to tank last night against the Spurs was a total failure.
This will be a fun one to watch with my son, a Wizards fan, because we can BOTH cheer for the Knicks losing, just for different reasons.
No chance the Knicks win this one (*fingers crossed*). Wizzies are legit and are still playing for seeding.

What happened with Walton? I don't follow Lakers

Lakers have big issues. I didnt realize about their 2019 pick. They are in a bad spot. Even if the finish 3rd there is a 50% they move BACK.

Here is the ultimate example of why it's hard to tank. The Lakers desperately need to keep a top 3 pick or they send their 2017 to Philly and 2019 to Orlando. LOSE 2 top picks, not just move back in the draft a slot or 2.
And the Lakers beat Memphis and the SPURS within the last week.
The Lakers faced the Spurs. The Lakers needed to lose. Against the 60-win Spurs in San Antonio, this should not have been a problem. But to take extra precautions, coach Luke Walton scratched a healthy D’Angelo Russell, whose 28-6-5 game helped beat Memphis. This DNP-CD came on top of the Lakers’ decisions to bench veterans Luol Deng, Timofey Mozgov, and Nick Young for the remainder of the season. Surely, the Lakers would lose.
The Lakers opened up a 40-14 lead on the Spurs in the second quarter.
What did Walton do? Celebrate the opportunity for an emboldening road win against an elite foe, something that could boost the confidence of the young roster? Ha ha ha. No.
No.
Walton benched 19-year-old Brandon Ingram (who had a good start to the game) at halftime. Walton benched 24-year-old Jordan Clarkson, 22-year-old Julius Randle, and 24-year-old Larry Nance Jr. for the fourth quarter.
The Lakers led by six points going into the fourth. Walton played Tyler Ennis, David Nwaba, Thomas Robinson, and Tarik Black the entire quarter, and split the small forward minutes between Corey Brewer and 37-year-old Metta World Peace.
The Lakers won by seven.
You know what would be Karma? The Lakers get the 2rd or 3rd pick and have it go to the Knicks while also falling out of the top 3. This is a good exchange for us in lieu of the KP draft year.
Martin I totally agree. All you can do is play the kids and try to win. Let the players play. People want to blame them for the season.. twice. First they phuck it for losing, then for not losing enough.
Just play it straight and do the right thing. Rookies played 114 minutes in that last win. If that trend continues and we win fine. Guys like Plumlee and NDour are hungry for NBA action. Let them showcase. We need to produce from that pipeline. Rob Baker is getting 40 minutes

Wow. I think I got a notification on my phone that he was playing. I am glad he is resting. The last time he played he kept needing to get stretched and was holding his back a lot. Hopefully Ndour gets another start.

Better safe than sorry. I'm glad he's not playing. Why push it?
