I disagree. Kuz can hit a 3pt shot. Ndour had a double/double. Baker can fight through a pick, LT is best defender in the league and every team that had Randle was wrong about him.
Briggs, do you really expect anyone to want to come here besides broken down old guys looking for a paycheck. I mean this is the Dolan/Phil clown show. How anyone would want to come here after the treatment of Melo, past FA's, Oak and the comments by Phil is beyond me.
Obviously the new core of Frontline Talent has to be brought in but that is what the Draft and Free Agency are for! Also depends on who we get in trade for Melo.
All of this is relative to the expectations of a rebuilding team. This is going to be a process and not an instant fix. This is a good thing tho.
I can't believe the team of RFA's, and end of the bench players that played last 5 games turned into a rallying cry for phil. Of course they played hard, they were fighting for their NBA lives. Not to mention, the month of April are the dog days of the NBA. Most teams are resting players, playing scrubs or going half speed. Did you see the D-League roster the Sixers put on the floor in the last game?

Look up Luka Doncic..... we don't need to be a really bad team every year..... but I would be ok if we were a really bad team next year. Also I am holding out hope we can get talent from a Melo trade.

I am curious about Labeyrie. He has come over before and seemed scrappy but not talented enough to make the roster. He has been recognized for his play in France quite a bit this year so maybe he has developed into a guy that could play in the league now. He also could be traded.
I was pretty sure that Kuz would be traded especially after his name came up at the deadline. However, Phil has been talking about him in more positive terms and seems to want to put signing Kuz in the plus column for things that he has done so maybe he stays.

+1. If that was the plan, we could have hired no one. Think Phil likes to do nothing and take the credit for results. See his coaching days with MJ, Pippen, Kobe and Shaq. Krause, West and Kupchek did all the work putting rosters together and he took all the credit. At least he is taking $50 million of Dolan's money.

Kuz has been a plus but you can bet your bottom dollar that the Knicks will recontact the interested teams and say something to the effect of, "Hey, you still interested in Kuz because if we see somebody we like at your draft position, you draft him for us, we'll send you Kuz and change."
I mispoke about Kuz being one-dimensional because he isn't but he reminds me of an old Robert Klein skit about a field marching band in which one guy forgets where he is and distorts the entire ban's imagery into a mayo jar with a fly randomly buzzing around it. Kuz is a bit spacey on defense.

Agree. This would bother me more if I had high expectations for next season. At this point, I'm not too worried about it. I'm not saying we should tank 
, but I'd have no problem giving unproven pros a chance to shine next year. Everyone needs to start from somewhere.

Outside of Philly, the last 10-15 games were against playoff teams or teams that were desperate for wins to get into the playoffs.
Wins against Pacers Miami Detroit Bulls and some other awful losses.

If Melo, in fact, encouraged others to resist the instructions of the coaching staff and the team missed the playoffs then its called insubordination and the NBA needs to investigate which games were affected and whether Anthony had a vested gambling interest in the Knicks losing. Furthermore the Players Association damned well better explain why players under contract are advertising their insubordination of coaches to America's and the world's youth. Is this what we are teaching our kids?

Johnson is proven. Livingston or Collison are proven. Wood is part of a rebuild at 6-11 with long arms
I like Livingston but think he will be resigned. Johnson finally had 1 decent season, that is not proven to me, and he is now 30 and from what I can tell his game is built on athleticism. He is a decent bench guy, not a starter
Your right this team is going to be bad for the next 3 years. This is what its going to take to make this a competitive team again. I would even move Porzingis to the Celtics if we get their pick. Reset the clock be bad build 4 or 5 rookie lottery deal players together
