...when he comes back to NY on his first game into next season!
He deserves this and hopefully less DIVA in future
we should stop making up silly threads, no disrespect intended.
1. Do we know why he did it? Nope.
2. Teach him a lesson? Wow, get a life.
3. Was it an on court issue? No, its between him and Phil.
4. Unless we were denied access to the new MSG program "Exit Meeting Wifes", then why is our business?
5. Lets show him and others what sensitive fickle fans we are! Not only is the media brutal, but we lap it all up and turn on players from it!
Jeez, do we really think that in the history of the game players never missed a meeting? Was it a huge media story then? Nope. I read once that Louis Orr was really bad about picking up his dirty sweat pants after a work out and was told by management to not treat locker room attendants like garbage. Orr was not receptive to this and started leaving his socks and undergarments as well. The Locker room attendants union protested the lack of support by management as they wanted him fined. In a show of unity, the bathroom attendants in steak houses accrues the tri state area held a walk out on a saturday night. The backlash form that was intense as men had operate electric hand dryers or manually engage paper dispensers!!! This act of "defiance" spread to France where transit workers shut down the subway system and the airports closed disrupting traffic to 58 major countries around the world!!!!
In a private meeting, Al Bianchi and Mr Orr discussed the global implications of his actions and with the players association backing a negotiated settlement was found hours before the sanitation workers in NYC were set to strike!!!
In his first game back from the conflict Mr Orr when introduced was cheered by Knick fans as if never happened. Said on long term season ticket holder when approached about the chain of events: "I have no idea what your talking about, excuse me, I'm trying to watch the game".
I don't like what KP did but in the overall scheme of things it's not a big deal. He's still under Knicks control and he wants to be in NY. The dumb thing is that Phil is FULLY intent on bringing in players that will play team ball and help make KP look good.
Phil's entire philosophy is TEAM BALL! Ball and Player Movement with unselfish players. He's going to have more success achieving those goals by ignoring Melo's Timeline requirements which haven't resulted in any lasting success. What's obvious is that the younger players fit more closely to Phil's ideals.

Why is that dumb?
Sure, who won't want to play in a city where fans boo their best draft pick in 30 years over a skipped meeting? *Flush
That will teach him! Take your act to another team, KP this is the Knicks!
What will booing solve? Make a player feel uncomfortable that it affects his play. Sorry but this is one of the worst threads and I can't believe that I'm giving it life.
Let's boo Willy too since he's friends with KP

And he liked Melo's post. Boo the bad seeds.
Porzingis wearing a new Knicks hat in his Instagram story. Hopefully everyone can just get over all if this nonsense. Media continues to feed and Knicks fans hungry for drama.

I can not justify KP action missing the meeting, plus i cant justify this thread ..
And i blame the 31 win season on two things ..
1) all the Knick players that average above 27 minutes per game within the season.
2) plus the poor coaching-staff NO-Defense policy.
If the final meeting of the season were to cast blame for the TANKING season then ..
Horn/Melo/Rose/and KP get all the blame for not being on the same-page as a team.
Yes, counter one immature move with another. Porzingis needs to sit down with Phil and Steve Mills. And he needs to be told that he isn't "untouchable" and he definitely isn't an unicorn at least not țill he shows he can lead a franchise like Giannis is doing now so he should not attempt to dictate terms cause it makes him look extremely stupid.

Phil and Mills should have tried to get that sit down before KP left for Latvia. It isn't like KP was hiding. Bergman had a picture of him riding a bike days after the exit meetings.

Last I checked that's what am exit interview is. What I said is what KP needs to do. Stop responding to everything with your Phil hate, it's kinda lame

I listened to a podcast with Bobby Marks where Marks said he would have made sure to connect with KP before he returned to Latvia. He was pretty mystified by the Knick's approach. That was before KP's favorite coach didn't have his contract renewed. In an earlier podcast (February) Marks speculated that KP's agent would have already contacted the Knicks front office about concerns regarding the team and what was going on and that the Knicks could lose KP when his rookie deal ended.

The Knicks tried, that's what the exit interviews were for. Coach is also on record saying he has texted him and got no response. as far as the latter, the Knicks cannot lose KP after his rookie deal. That's really not possible without losing a ton of money.
I believe he should be booed as a member of another team. A 2nd year player acting like this is unheard of, we should get this malcontent out the door while his value is high and in a good draft. This is a perimeter oriented league that favors b=the ball dominant. By default Porzingis will not be a top tier player
I can't believe all of this is still a discussion. The media has messed some of you up so bad. They only know half of what goes on, and are late with that half of the info. Yet you guys still entertain it and treat it like facts.

Guards dominate now but those things always change. It will be a big man game again at some point.

The Media has nothing to do with Fans wanting to read bout KP ....
KP 2nd season performance of not showing he could help a team WIN throughout 82 games has many fans interested in any type of discussion dealing with KP in the offseason.
Fans are looking for optimistic discussions on KP .. Fans are looking for offseason work-out discussion on KP improvement for next season .. plus fans would like to know KP reason for missing the final meeting.
