the cavs are kicking themselves in the ass right now,If the cavs could replace Love with melo right now this series would be a lot closer
Kyrie VS Curry
JR VS thompson
Lebron VS IGGY
Melo VS durant
thompson VS green
again MELO would be a game changer for the Cavs his prolific scoring is second to durant in this series. Love looks like he shouldn't even be on the court with the starters.
Knicks should demand there first as well because love is not a super star
KP,Noah
Love,willy
Isaac,thomas
Mitchell,Baker
rubio,frank mason
awesome rebuild actually a team that can do damage, when the warriors sweep the cavs Phil should be calling...... get it done Phil, Get it done
Seriously? I think very few people watching this would think the Cavs should replace Love with Melo. The Cavs weren't willing to do that last February. And Melo only played worse since then and Love has played quite well. The Cavs would probably be closer to offering something like Shumpert, Smith, and Frye.

So you want to trade for what you describe as an inferior player, making the Cavs rival the Warriors and getting the presumably 29 or 30 pick in the draft for the trouble?

Love is averaging 21 points, 14 rbs a game in the finals and has the best on/off +/- of all the Cavs playing significant minutes. Love looks like he doesn't belong with the starters? And adding a guy who shot worst than the worst team in the league and played poor defense is going to help them? Wow this thread is far-fetched.

ahhh have you been watching the series? Love is a ghost on both ends of the court, yea he still gets boards and PTS but his inability to finish is crushing the cavs...
seriously if you run a iso play for melo like the warriors do for durant... the cavs can't do that with Love he is a put back and three point shooter . melo would demand the attention of the warriors defense leaving lebron and kyrie open.... again who is a better third option melo or love, Melo ten outta ten times for sure plus when the warriors go small ball love is completely outta the picture.
Love has played awful in this series simply because he dose not match up and yes Melo is a better player then love hands down esp on the offense of end as well as defensively love is not a good defender at all
run a play for melo or run a play for love who comes out on top
its kyrie and lebron vs Curry, thompson, durant where love isn't part of the picture melo would be

Actually I've heard them praise Love many times for his defense. He holds his man to about an average FG% even though he has a poor reputation. These Warriors players dominate everyone.

I'm gonna say the all-star with the higher shooting percentage and better +/- comes out on top.
there are two things love can do get boards and hit threes. melo first off can match up vs durant or green love defiantly can not guard either one. melo can create his own shot love can not. melo can guard multi positions love can not. melo can iso love can not
Might be something LeBron thinks about if things dont turn around. If I were the Cavs though, I would
try to move Love to clear some cap space, and try to convince Gordon Hayward to sign at least a 2 year deal.
LeBron could sell him on the opportunity for a ring sooner rather than (maybe)never. Taking down the Warriors with this current lineup would be historic. If Hayward goes to the Celtics, with a number one pick on the way, the option of moving Thomas for a deeper bench, LeBron's window might close sooner than expected.
If we do trade for Love, Im guessing we wont be getting a first, maybe a second. Love is younger, has a ring, and is in better health. Not so sure Love would enjoy playing in NY, personality wise.

there both all stars and love is like d rose his numbers are false star because his defense is so poor esp when matched up vs durant or iggy... did you see loves offensive rebounds that turned into bricks love can't create like melo and there is no argument for that.... is love a better spot up wide open three point shooter yes is love a better rebounder yes.... can love score like melo one on one no can love score like melo period no can love defend durant like melo can no. can love be the focal point of the offense like melo can no. love is a allstar for sure but melo and lebron, and kyrie on the same team is strait scary

Wow, I don't even know what to say. I don't think I've disagreed more with anyone here in a while! No point in even going into this. I wouldn't even know where to start. We're 180 degrees apart on Melo, Love, and Kyrie (who I like but I think has been terrible these two games). Oh well. Cheers.
now if the cavs had to play the SAS instead of the warriors I would say love matches up better vs LMA then melo but we all know the spurs aren't beating the warriors any time soon

Correct. Without Love playing yesterday that game would have been a 35+ point blowout. Cavs don't play as a team. Their starting 5 matches up well with the Warriors but they don't play system basketball and their isolation heavy game is being exposed.
Oh and the amazing and valuable "asset" that Phil dumped to get cap space had zero points, 1 rebound and -18 in the plus minus column. Thanks for showing up JR.

no worries man agree to disagree, i just think interms of matchup melo helps the cavs beat the warriors more then love. for me its not even close melo is the better all around fit next to kyrie and Lebron because melo needs to be double teamed to be stopped love not so much. if melo gets Kyrie open and lebron the lane they are right up there with going head to head with the warriors.... again is love getting his numbers yea but he still can't stop durant and he still can't hold a offense on his shoulders melo can hold a offense on his shoulders

did you guys not watch durant destroy K love... he destroyed him on multiple occasions .... also lebron would bring the best outta melo, how can you even call love a good defender
Love has looked good so far to me and his shooting is what is keeping it close in the 1st halves.

Love can't stop Durant? Who can? You've been praising Kyrie. Is he stopping Curry? And Kyrie's had 43 points on 45 shots. At least Love is scoring and rebounding.
If Lebron wants Melo, his goal should be to get Melo and keep Love. Lebron must be smart enough to realize two things right now: If you replace Love with Melo, the Cavs still can't compete with the Warriors. And Love is his only teammate contributing right now. If they had both Melo and Love (and Melo stayed healthy and played smart and hard - huge ifs), they'd at least have more firepower. Lebron and the Cavs probably don't care a lot about picks around 27. Maybe they'd offer Shumpert, JR, and Frye or RJ plus a couple of late 1st round picks.

Durant destroys everyone. He's actually done most of his damage when Lebron was guarding him if you look at the #s. I don't think anyone has put up as many points and rebounds against KD as Love has. (And no, they aren't useless points and rebounds! I don't think he would have his teams best +/- numbers if his production was useless.)

yea what would melo look like vs the warriors, esp on defense cause love has gotten destroyed by durant.
again can love hit his open threes and rebound yes but he still is a after thought for a defense vs melo who would demand the attention and make the game easier for lebron and kyrie
